I never write reviews but this is the only thing that got our 2.5 year old to stop sucking her two middle fingers! She was doing it all day long and ever since she hasn't tried once. She had a bad taste the first time she tried it and the first day was a learning curve, but we reapplied every morning for a week and now I reapply every 2-3 days. It's been about 3-4 weeks so far and it's been great!

My 10 year old son is a nail biter and It works fantastically!! Last forever on him. Tried another brand from Walmart and it doesn't hold a candle to this stuff. son says it's the most bitter thing he's ever tasted.

It does work!! I have been trying to get my 5 year old to stop biting her nails since she was about 2. She would bite them till she was bleeding and for some reason would keep doing it whenever her nails started to grow back. I tried a different brand of nail polish before this one but she got over the taste pretty quick and then the pen dried up and she started biting her nails again. Well this time it is finally working!The first time I put these on my kids (my youngest wanted it on too since it looked pretty) they both gagged. And I do mean gagged. I seriously thought they were going to throw up. Thankfully they didn’t and the next time I put it on they didn’t gag at all and just said it was gross. After my 5 year old had been wearing it for several days her nails finally grew back! I had then stopped putting it on and, unfortunately, she went back to biting her nails again after maybe a few weeks. I then told her she had to have “nail polish” again to help her nails grow back and within a couple days she stopped biting her nails. Now whenever I take it out she lets me know she doesn’t bite her nails. So I guess it did its job! It just took a while.Overall I am pretty satisfied with this product! It is very expensive in my opinion. The bottle is very small, about the size of actual nail polish. But you get a decent amount of uses out of what is there. I am still worried my daughter might try biting her nails again later since she did so before but pretty confident she wouldn’t do it for long with this my putting this stuff on her. The color isn’t really “clear” as stated. If you put enough on it has a light brown look. (In the picture one hand has the polish and the other doesn’t.) This never bothered me or my kids. In fact I think my kids liked it. It didn’t wash off too much but that could be because of the way my kids wash their hands. The polish does dry pretty quick! I would recommend this before the pen thing I used before and when it comes to biting nails the price could be worth it.

10 out of 10….. my baby can’t stand this stuff. I tried it before giving it to her and the taste is horrible. When I say a little bit goes a long way I mean just that. A half of drop is all you need. My baby would attempt to suck her thumbs and immediately stop due to the horrible taste. This is day one for us…… and so far it’s going very good but we shall see.

I am using this on my 3yo, it was effective at preventing her from sucking her thumb. We've only had to use it twice on her. I tried it on too and the bitter taste lasted for about 3 days. I couldn't figure out how to wash it off. Nail polish remover/acetone didn't work or frequent hand washing. So I would definitely say this stuff works!

TLDR: tried lots of things, this works so far without wearing off. We're considering it a success, 10/10!So far - consider me STUNNED. My 3 year old was a constant thumb sucker. We tried vinegar, garlic, lemon juice, an arm brace, bandaids, gloves - LOTS of options. We put this on each thumb and she immediately went to suck and was grossed out, required a lot of water, and tried again 2 minutes later for the same effect. For the first 2 days she kept trying to suck, and kept being reminded of the taste that didn't go away as quickly as the others did. We did reapply each morning to make sure it was "fresh" enough. Now, it's been a week and she's no longer even attempting to put her thumb in her mouth. We'll keep reapplying every few days to make sure but this may have been the cure! Love love love. Also, made my husband put it on his finger first to test it out. And one day we were playing and my kid stuck her finger near my mouth and I got an awful taste, it is horrific but not dangerous! :)

This didn't really work for us but it could just be a preference thing.Our child did not care, she did enjoy having her nails shiny though 😂The battle against hands/fingers in mouth continues!
