Warner Genuine Hand Made Swiss Bells Imported from Switzerland 8/0 (Large)

I purchased this for my lamb and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The bell is fantastic! It seems to be of very good quality, has a good feel to it, has a nice clear sound and free movement. I am so happy with it that I ordered two more for my goats. Actually, when I ordered the two more I saw that this product said that there was only one left in that size (small) and so I ordered that one too for fear that there might not be more later. So, I'm sorry if I snagged the last and you guys are out of luck, but at least you know it was good quality! Maybe the larger sizes will work for you. I am including a picture of this bell on my lamb, he is about 40-50 lbs right now. Modified to add: I'm not sure why it says I bought the XLarge size, but I bought the SMALL size and that is what is pictured on the lamb.

This is so much better than the traditional American round sleigh bell style. The ringing is clearer and more consistent. The tone is the best part as this is basically a scaled down Swiss cow bell My 90 lb labrador has worn this bell while summiting 6 peaks with no issues. You can always hear where he is, even at a good distance. Keeps him from surprising bears and he can’t sneak up on anyone. No quality issues.

This bell has a bolder chime than the smaller one my rescue dogs have been wearing for the past 20 years. it truly takes me to a world where I am the sheepherder in the family. That said, it does not work with a collar style that I think is predominant now; made of heavy nylon fabric, folded over at each end and sewn to finish the end. With the leather strap, I could not attach it to the collar. I had to get a knife and cut off the strap so I could run a metal ring through the bell's little handle. That done, it now attaches to the collar nicely. One other minor complaint; the clapper first was stuck and did not move (no lovely chime), and then fell off inside the bell. I had to unbend the little loop inside the bell and reattach the clapper. Then I had to tighten it so it would swing freely as designed. Now, I love this bell and think it will make me smile every time my dog moves or we get out for a walk. I may have to get a more sturdy ring to attach it to the collar. It's a bit frustrating to have to do all this to make it work. But, I think it will be worth it.

This is a terrific product! Very well made -- both the bell and the leather strap. Slides easily on my dog's collar. The bell is pleasing to the ear and can be heard from a great distance in the woods. I just purchased a second one as a gift for a friend's dog.

I got the XXL and it is just the right size for the back of pack 0 use it for hiking in the wilderness. This is not a good size for sporting events as it is too small. These would be great for dogs - the xxl for a large dog and then work down from there. Beautifully made and great sound.

We live on 400 acres, one of my GSP's runs really far out and she's often not within my sight lines. With this bell I can keep better track of her, not a ton of noise but pretty good for a little bell - I have seen some trainers and hunting dog owners use large bells around their dog's necks and I just didn't want something that seemed cumbersome, this bell is great!

Beautifully made, very nice mellow sound. Great to have in Bear company to let them hear us well in advance. I put this on my Labrador's leash when we walk the trails. Several hikers we have come across have asked where I purchased this so they could get one for their dogs.

Leather and Bell seem to be of good quality. The Clapper was extremely low in quality and no weight, due to the Clapper having no head when its strikes the body it makes little to no sound rendering this bell basically useless. Not a crisp tone that you would expect from this style bell.
