(ISC)2 CCSP Certified Cloud Security Professional Official Study Guide (Sybex Study Guide)

I got another cloud certification before this which definitely helped, but the information in this book was very good especially the audio version so I do recommend.

I took the CCSP exam on today and based on the exam I am revising my rating for this book from 3 stars to 5 stars. This book has everything that you need to get you throughly prepared for the exam as well as to begin applying the domain content in practice. The combination of relevant references alone is a treasure trove of information that you can’t just find on Google. 5 stars for giving an accurate account of what was on the exam I’m terms of content and questions. My review below stands corrected and I’ll leave it there just so others can reference.====================================================================================This is a great book overall.but it is a bit verbose. Some of the things that are discussed are very likely not going to be on the exam. There is a fine line between providing supporting context and adding in things that don't provide much value. Just be ready to focus on the key points when you see them. Yes, you will have to read through almost all of the book to find the nuggets but they are in fact there.

Passed the test using this study guide

This was my main study resource for the exam. Though it covers the required domains, this book did not adequately cover the exam subject matter. Definitely worth investigating other, more comprehensive study material instead of / as well as this book.

I read the book cover to cover and felt I was ready to take the test. I then started taking the practice tests and there were a few mistakes with some of the answers they give as well as asking questions on topics that are not brought up in the book at all. This made me question if I was truly ready for the exam, so I then watched the Cybrary.it CCSP videos, which are not updated for the 2022 test, and that included other topics not in the book. So, I went ahead and scheduled the exam anyways. I did pass the CCSP and I feel the book had ALMOST everything needed to pass. My only complaint is the practice tests.

This Official Study Guide along with Mike Chapple's guidance in certmike.com for exam prep, helped me pass my CCSP certification exam in first attempt, with less than 3 months of preparation. I highly recommend this guide book and its companion CCSP Official Practice Tests by the same authors.

This book is one of the resources I used to to study for thr CCSP. I have the second edition, but I passed the new 2022 CCSP on the first attempt on Oct. 6th 2022. Obviously, this is not the only study resource I used, but in my opinion it's a must have.
