Ergotron – LX Monitor Arm Extension – Add-on for LX Desk and LX Wall Monitor Arms, LX Keyboard Arm – White

I wanted to be able to secure my monitor to the wall in my RV and have it extendable out to the dinette or bed. I can't do that, so I have a pole right next to the wall that it is attached to. I added this extension to my Ergotron LX dual monitor stand I already had, making 3 extensions plus the adjustable arm that the monitor attaches to. It works fine, though the weight is enough that even with a very sturdy pole I got as the base, it still flexes a bit and bounces with the monitor fully extended 38-40" from the pole. But that isn't the fault of the arms, it is the pole that flexes (which isn't surprising, given the weight of the monitor is 7 lbs at 3 feet out from the pole). I think you'd need a pole that was really short, or could also be clamped at the top. My pole is nearly 4 feet tall and very solid (thicker than the original short pole that comes with the LX dual stand), with dual clamps, near the bottom and then maybe halfway up.

absolutely perfect, easily connects to the monitor arm i bought and did not decrease the sturdiness at all! only added a bit of length but it made the difference i needed!

Awesome for those like me who use a 22" high fps monitor with a 27" 4k monitor. Both of mine are mounted on the HUANUO Dual Monitor Stand and a fairly wide desk, so to get them positioned properly I needed at least one of these. Its super nice to be able to pull the gaming monitor super close when actually gaming while keeping the other monitor farther to the side and not have any visual overlap while sitting at the desk! The only possible downside is that the little cap doesn't snap on where the original HUANUO arm connects to this extension. it appears the Ergotron has a shorter cylinder... but who cares about that right? I'm making those 360 no-scope shots while watching whatever I have on the other screen between skirmishes :D

This extension arm was a little pricey for what it is, but it works great for exetending the monitor arm. I have the mount on the wall next to a recliner with my gaming monitor. With this extension, it swings right out in front of me so I can play games while sitting in my recliner with the monitor just right in front of me.

Ergotron is a good choice for a monitor support system. One bit of information I always wanted to know and had a hard time figuring out when I went to buy one was what should I get? A desk mount, a wall mount, a dual monitor setup. After having used one for a few years now I can say with relative certainty in most cases you are probably going to want to get a wall mount if you can. I got a desk mount, and it works very well for me, but I also had to specifically find extremely heavy and sturdy furniture to mount it on. The usual particle board that everything cheap seems to be made out of is simply not going to cut it. The factor of stability comes into question even more prominently If you want to add one or, like I did, two extensions, because you are leveraging that weight even more. I'd be loathe to add another extension on the desk mount I have. As it is, I think its going to be sturdy enough to hold, but jumping up and down on it definitely isn't advisable. As far as two monitor setups go, if you want to do that plan it from day one. I was going to do that, figured I'd start with one and see how it went, and years later I still have yet to act on it.

I wrote support and asked if any arm extensions worked with the model I have, the "LX Dual Stacking Arm" (45-248-026). They said no, nothing they have is compatible with it. I disregarded that and bought this anyways, and it fits and works perfectly. (This 45-289-026 "LX Extension for LX Arm".) The 3d files on their site show the measurements line up too, so I don't understand why their support tried to lose them a sale. The other extension arm is a little longer, but the hole size is a little different, so be careful to get the right one for the stand you have.

Ergotron products are worth every penny, they are so well-built. I did a new desk set up and was so happy I could add an extension arm!

Cumple con su función a la perfección. La instalación es fácil. Es 100% compatible con el brazo de Amazon Basics. El único detalle es que la longitud extra hace al brazo un poco más inestable, si llega a temblar un poco cuando pones los brazos sobre el escritorio. No le quito estrellas por ello, porque no es culpa en sí de la extensión, es simplemente culpa de la ley de la física.

This extension arm has enabled to sit at whatever end of the table I want. I can now just swing into positin.. i have a 27 inch screen and there is no problem with the arm dropping etc. Great price and a great product.
