I love it!
It's got tons of savory flavor, great when you want a salty type dish. It does have a lot of fatty pieces,, but its supposed to and is part of why i love it so much.I use it for tacos and on rice. Next I'm trying on noodles. Not a huge portion, but well worth it.

Some varieties are great, but the beef is absolutely terrible & a waste of money!!!
So disappointed with the beef version of this chilorio from the Chata brand. I've purchased the chicken, turkey and pork varieties several time and they are great for a quick, easy to fix meal on a busy day. Plus it is perfect to have on hand in case of emergencies or for camping. My family really likes the pork for tacos so I even have it on automatic shipments through Subscribe & Save. I added a case of the beef chilorio to my subscription and it is nothing at all like the others. I don't know if I received part of a bad batch or what, but this is definitely not worth buying at any price. I don't know how this would have passed any sort of quality control. There is roughly 1/6 cup of meat (maybe about 1 1/2 ounces, equating to less than one serving) in each pouch and the rest is some sort of tasteless broth. This doesn't even come close to matching the product description or pictures (it is supposed to be four servings) and I now see that I am not alone in this assessment. I felt confident ordering based on my experience with Chata's other products, but with about $40.00 wasted (I ordered a case of 12) I sure wish I had checked the poor reviews before ordering.

Tasty and strong, definitely needs to be combined with veggies and beans.
If you’ve ever tasted Jack’s Pizza pepperoni, that’s kind of what this tastes like. It’s almost like shredded pepperoni in flavor—fatty and salty by itself, but when you fry it up in a pan to render the fat and salt out, it becomes a great medium for frying peppers, onions, and garlic in. Use it as a base for fajitas, or add it to refried beans to make the flavor pop. You could eat it on top of rice as well, but might be better tossed in to spread the salt and fat out.Every package is 4.5 servings @ 190 calories per serving, or around 1000 calories per package. The packages I got in 8/21 have 2 full years of shelf life through 8/2023. Could see this being a valuable food pantry idea, where good meat options are few and far between. I will definitely be ordering more of this to stash away for emergency, or effortless fajita nights.

Good flavor.
Product has very good flavor, however, there isn't much meat. It is mostly soup. I recommend draining the soup before making tacos.

Best meat in county jail
This stuff is available in the "Mexican dinner kit" in county jail. It's so good, I would trade two cups of plumbers magic wine for it!

Works for camping but not much meat for your $
The beef is okay, nothing to write home about quality wise but definitely a good option for camping. But honestly for the money it is pretty weak. By the time you drain the water it’s probably only enough to make about 1 or 2 tacos. I’ve found better quality and quality options for beef and won’t be purchasing this item again

Great quality and quantity for the price
Saw this pop up in my suggestions and decided to give it a go on a whim since it wasn't real expensive. You really get a decent amount of meat for the price. Heated this up on a pan with a can of chili beans for a burrito bowl and with rice was enough for 2 big burrito bowls. Texture was fine, no complaints. Well seasoned but I added some extra hot sauce because I like a good amount of spice. Would definitely get the pork again and now I want to try the other flavors too. Good to keep in the pantry for a quick meal.

Don't Buy This!
This product is the worst. The picture and product description make it look like you get enough meat for a couple of tacos. You don't! You get a bowl of soup with a miniscule amount of meat and the broth is bland. I am so sorry I bought this product. I consider it a rip-off.
