It's ok but no better than cheaper ones
This machine has apparently won awards for best tasting coffee in its class, but I didn't notice any improvement over my previous el cheapo one. At the end of the day you get out of it what you put in, and I'm using the same coffee I always did.The enclosed manual makes a big deal of the water temperature range, 92—96⁰C, which is critical to getting an awesome, miraculous, earth-shattering, life-affirming, pant-tightening brew. Maybe my old cheap machine somehow managed by sheer luck to strike this Goldilocks temperature range, too. There are just two settings, which the instruction manual calls "full jug" and "half-jug". These settings have absolutely nothing—I mean NOTHING—to do with the amount of coffee being brewed, but rather the speed of the drip. The so-called "half-jug" setting pumps the water more slowly for a richer taste. This is the setting I have chosen so far, and it's still significantly faster than my el cheapo machine, and so makes a weaker drink. I therefore have to use more coffee. This does reduce the bitterness a little, but it's personal taste, and I do actually like bitter chocolatey overtones in my coffee (with cream), so this isn't really a plus for me. I'm going to switch to thicker filter papers to slow things down a bit. Why the "full jug" and "half-jug" labels were chosen is a mystery best left unsolved. The level markings from 0-10 on the water tank are, like virtually all coffee machines, marked in baby espresso measures. A normal serving in a normal big-boy adult mug is about 2.5 of these cup markings, so the tank holds a maximum of four normal mugs. The machine has a lot of plastic. Although it is all food grade, it's a shame you simply can't buy an all-steel coffee machine for a less-than four-figure sum. But plastic is cheap. The plastic lids of both the water reservoir and the filter cup are not attached with hinges, so instead of being flipped open must be lifted off.It does look nice on the counter—I went for the pastel yellow. The hotplate auto-shuts-off after 40 mins. This is due to our European Globalist Overlords passing a Health & Safety dictate to this effect. Having said that, one really should not let fresh coffee sit much longer than 20 or 30 minutes at most, as it does oxydize and go black and stale very quickly. One excellent Plus: it's handmade in the Netherlands. So NOT Chinese! Not that we can judge too much, based on our own human rights record of the last three years, but we're not quite in their league yet (with a little time, ongoing fear mongering and compliance of the jabbed, triple-boosted and digital-passport-carrying, masked Normies, we'll get there, don't worry. Dang, there goes my Social Credit Score. Sorry, Herr Schwab!).Not quite the best hundred and ninety quid I've ever spent, but hey. It does the job, and will probably outlive me. Meh.

Perfect Coffee at home!
I’ll start with a few questions I had to search for before I tell you my thoughts on the machine. It comes with only 2 paper filters to get you going. It needs the size 4 papers. You can buy a good brand from your supermarket. I bought ground Coffee too. The brand is your choice. You need to use 60-75g of ground Coffee per 1.25 litres (full jug) but as mentioned before it comes with a scoop with measures approx 1 per mug.Unpacking is straight forward and assembly is easy. Just clip in the stainless steel water rod, then clip in jugs and covers. First time using it you’ll need to clean it. This is simple. Just full water reservoir then switch on, no paper filter needed and let it run the water through. When finished tip away water and repeat one more time. Then you are done!!Next part add paper filter, wash the paper filter in the holder to remove any ‘paper taste’ then add the required Coffee. I made half a jug using just under 40g of ground Coffee. I used the ‘half jug setting’ this made a nice strong jug. And that’s it! Enjoy!Cleaning is very easy, and it comes with a special cleaner for extended use. But if you don’t use it for a long time just a clean with water is enough.I’ll add I did wonder about paying so much for the machine. But personally I feel this matches what I would have from a Coffee shop / even matches an Americano in flavour!

I Really Like This Thing
Many coffee makers have come and gone here, but the Moccamaster is something special. I am grinding beans freshly for it, and it makes a really lovely hot flavoursome coffee. Using well considered temperature control and paper filters a consistent brew is guaranteed. It's quick and easy to clean. It's also quite quiet so when I am out of bed early I can easily make decent coffee while the house sleeps. The design curiously eccentric, made in Holland has a long pedigree and I can see why. Recommended wholeheartedly.

Just like every review I read...
This coffeemaker is more expensive, but, honestly I don't believe I was really tasting the flavor of the high quality coffee beans I had purchased until I bought this device. This coffeemaker makes the best coffee I have ever tasted.

Wonderful
I’ve been wanting to buy one of these bad boys for a couple of years now because they are chic and I hear they make a great cup of coffee, so I bought it and I can confirm it is chic and it makes a great cup of coffee! I’m now drinking approximately 23% more coffee every day and I already drank a lot.
