I love it.

This is the cutest wooden box. I was concerned because of some of the reviews...I'm glad I went through with the purchase. The strap is different but I'm glad it is because I think it looks better without it on. Gives you the option to have it on or not. The wood is stained nicely and the hinges are sturdy the felt inside the box is nice. The pen holders are a bit small so choose your pens wisely.. no fat rubber gripped pens. The piece of wood on the outside of the box is sturdy will definitely hold a book. I did customize it with a laminated picture on the outside so if using it to write a letter it would be smooth and it looks amazing!!! Can't wait to give this as a gift.

Not as large as I expected, but maybe that's a blessing? I tend to over pack and it's forcing me to pair down to essentials. I plan to take this on a west coast train trip from Seattle to San Diego and I think the size will be perfect. My only complaint is that the wood and the leather strap seems cheap. I've already dinged the wood after one outdoor painting trip. If that doesn't bother you, then it's fine. I might end up painting the box and doing a coat of varnish or resin on it for extra durability. The strap may need to be replaced eventually. I do wish the elastic was slightly higher up because my pencils and pens don't quite clip on. But it's snug enough on the first 4 to not be a problem. I got a Faber-Castel collapsible cup and it fits perfect in the box. If I pack the case full, I can fit quite a bit in it. With all my brushes, pencils, pens, Exacto, erasers, cup, masking tape, and small 6" rule, I was still able to fit 10 Holbein acrylic gouache paints and at least 7+ brushes. I'm going to get some elastic to strap my paper pad to the outside, and then I'll be unstoppable! Muahahahahaha!

Poor quality. The wood is super light and feels as though too much pressure or a drop can brack the box. Not entirely impressed. Luckily I am not using it for anything practical. It's for a costume piece. So I can at least use it without actually using it.

I was expecting this to look nice based on pictures. The actual box surpassed my expectations. I can fit my watercolor pens, pencils, drawing pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener, paint brushes, and two different types of watercolor paper. When I go out to do plein air sketching and painting, everything I need is in my box, including a easel which is made when you flip the wooden lid up. Best of all (for me at least) the box has a really nice deep brown leather strap, long enough to throw over my shoulder. I carry my box like a purse because it’s convenient and easy. I hope you are able to order this. I loved it when I saw it here, and continue to love it after having it for a good amount of time. I couldn’t imagine not having it now. I was getting so tired of having to lug so much stuff around to do plein air that I had stopped doing it.

Absolute piece of junk. It’s too small poorly constructed of the softest it wood available. It might last a week as a hamster‘s chew toy I would suggest looking elsewhere. I get the sense that Amazon is the new Temu.

Great Product

I found many of the same issues other reviewers had. The wood is thinner than pictured, the dimensions are smaller, the swivel strap attachment will break--it's just a matter of when--and the strap itself is flimsier than pictured and the two pieces of faux leather are not stitched together well, the strap is not adjustable and so long that the box hits the back of my knee, the top and bottom boards are glued on and sloppy, and there are not two supports. The loose wooden stick you can use for an internal support has nothing holding it in place so it slides around unless you get it exactly centered and don't jiggle the box much. Dimensions according to the product description: 10.63 x 8.11 x 2.8 inches. Actual exterior dimensions: 9.75 x 7.25 x 2.5.

Not what it looked like and was smaller than what I expected. I was going to return it but to send it back was going to be only 9$ less than what it cost so I decided to keep it and find another use for it
