Fun puzzle solving experience with a budget-friendly price
This was a fun puzzle-solving experience, and a good first chapter for a 12 part story. It was definitely more puzzle heavy than a typical escape room experience, there are codes to solve and you'll probably want a pen and paper handy. While I didn't use the flow card, I think it would make things a lot easier for a first-timer at these, and help them get into the game a lot better. They make good use of your phone with this - providing very clear instructions, a robust hint system, in-game communications and an optional atmospheric playlist to listen to as you work your way through the puzzles. There's also an outro video which sets up a cliffhanger and gives a teaser for chapter two.The price seems very reasonable - Twenty bucks for an experience multiple people can share (though I played it solo) is definitely cheaper than a visit to a full escape room.

Ehhh….
Well, the game is fun so far. It’s not as difficult as they make it seem though. Even expert is easy if you have done escape room stuff.I didn’t know it was just one episode of a season. If I had known that I would have just got the whole season to begin with. I thought it was just one story per envelope. Then, in order to continue the story you have to go to their website to order the rest. Then here is the kicker. It is a bit pricy, but can yoh really put a price tag on fun and enjoyment? So I bit tue bullet and paid the $139.99. I did get a 10% off coupon, and paid for expedited shipping because #1 took me about 30 min to complete without hints. So my total was $135.95. I paid for it, and then at the end it came up with a ‘Buy the entire season for $114’ and that REALLY frustrated me.

Fun opportunity for puzzling
Sometimes you’re looking for a puzzle to dive into for many hours or days, and sometimes you want something light for an evening. If you’re in the mood for the second, this first episode of Escape Mail’s puzzle series is perfect. The envelope, while small, packs in a surprisingly large number of puzzles and even includes some tactile elements. Hints are well done as well (through a website) and I particularly liked the optional card which gives you the order of elements used if needed. In terms of accessibility, print in some cases is very small and the “old-timey” font was difficult to decipher sometimes. But overall, it was a well- designed, entertaining way to spend an evening when you’re looking for an at-home activity.

Hooked at Episode One
Super fun and challenging game, just the right level of difficulty to keep you engaged and wanting more. I love the tactile props included in each envelope and have already ordered the remaining 10 episodes.

Great family fun
We played this game/episode with our son and dil and had so much fun. It was interesting, a lot of interaction with the game developer as part of the game's play, via emails and video call. The puzzles were not too difficult, but certainly made you use your brain power. I would recommend this to other families. My son and dil (who are pros at actual Escape Rooms), were excited and asked me to order the other episodes right away. I have ordered Episodes 2-12 to complete the game and look forward to more fun evenings with our family.

Expert level what a joke!
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I picked the expert level and I believe a 3rd grader could solve it. The most challenging part is accepting that it really is so simple and it look less than 5 minutes. Don’t waste your money or time on this one.

Fun to play
We are loving the game! We got the first episode and then ordered the 2 through 12. You have puzzles to solve, but also there is interaction via a chat (so you need internet). It's like you are texting with someone trapped somewhere and you figure out how to free them. They send you a picture of a lock or a chart on the wall and you send back the answer. Very fun!
