Dometic WCI Cool Ice Chest/Dry Box

Both the product and the company are great,these coolers are built tough for the trails for you're side by sides I recomend the 33l for the handles and tie down capability

As you can see in the photos the lid has “warped” and the base may have either melted or had an attempt at repair by a heat-gun. Additionally the melted portion created bubbles & divots in the material.Lastly the hinges barely stay down (poor design) - these can be gently bumped open. This cooler isn’t secure enough or decent quality in my opinion. Keep shopping.

I have several rotomold ice chests from the big names. This one splits the difference between a Walmart (or similar) "IGLOO" ice chest and a premium "Yeti" style ice chest.It maintains ice and cold temperature better than the common "5-day" ice chests commonly seen at big box stores. It also has a lot more storage space for drinks and ice than a similar sized "Yeti" style ice chest.However, the handle totally SUCKS when loaded with drinks and ice! It is thin and narrow and is poorly suited to a loaded ice chest. It cuts into my hand pretty hard (I work on a farm so, my hands are used to have and harsh loads). Dometic really failed on this handle detail.In my case, I will be looking for heavier webbing I can retrofit into the factory attachments and possibly an addition solid handle to spread the load out and reduce the weight cutting into my hand.Finally, it is smooth all over. Why do I mention this? Loaded, you don't have any side handles or any way to hold it when put in the trunk of a car except to lift the strap handle excessively high!

I like the construction of the cooler but the lid latches I will bet they will dry rot

I was looking for a strong and well built dual purpose dry box that could also be used as a backup cooler for road trips and our family camping trips. I purchased (2) of the 22L Dometic ice chest/dry storage boxes and was surprised when they were delivered the next day! Fastest shipping I have ever received on Amazon from an out of state seller! These work perfectly to store our dry food items, cooking sets, utensils, cast iron pans, and other equipment and could easily be used to store so many things. Rugged and makes packing away items nice and organized!
