No way to measure or compare, but it seems to be as advertised. You just need to true up the stones before using them. They give you a tool to do that.

Q: What's the sharpening stone made of ?

The knife sharpener set is made of durable white corundum. Combining with four-sided: #400/#1000 and #3000/#8000 whetstone can well meet our requirements from passivation to refinement. My knives are now razor sharp thanks to this water stone.

Q: I just want to know if this sharpener set is safe enough?
