Very impressed by this little pump
The pump unit is tiny yet extremely powerful.I'm using it in a 3ft water feature and it's so powerful I had to remove the fountain sprinkler attachment otherwise it would have pumped most of the water out of the sides. It's only drawback is that it does require FULL sunshine on the solar panel to work, not cloudy, not over-cast, not bright, but full-on unobstructed sunshine, but when the sun is out it's brilliant.

Works well on a really sunny day
This was purchased to replace an old electrically powered pump. I wanted to re-site my water feature, but there was no nearby power so thought I would give this a try. When sunny enough, it works well for a very small pump.Things to consider. It only work when it’s really sunny, any cloud and it stops working. You need to find some way of mounting the solar panel. There are no fixings. I mounted mine to a 1/2 plastic pipe, using wide gorilla tape.Depending on the panel location, you may need to be able to move it to “track” the sun during the day. As I’ve said the panel only just produces enough power to make it work, so needs all the right conditions.I’m really pleased with mine, just take into account where it’s going, and the sunshine it needs to work.

Returned
Nothing wrong with this item but I have returned it to get a bigger solar panel. This is relevant that it is a tiny power panel.I had one of these before and ut would hardly run unless I'm hot sunlight all of the time.I have purchased a bigger panel of about 5-6W which will give a better power supply for a small fountain pump (for a wildlife pond) which is what I wanted it for.

Good for its size
Good product for what it isIt was very small. (Thought it wold have been bigger)The fountain wasn't all that much for me. And the solar panel isn't all that good. Bigger panel would make this better. All though it wasn't a good product for me ( I needed bigger as my pond is a decent size)This would be perfect for a smaller pond set up or a indoor fish, turtle or other aquatic set up.So I recommend this product

Clear tube to short
Works well in a sunny part of the garden. The only thing that lets it down is it comes with less than one meter of clear piping so purchased 5m of piping separately

Ideal for a small bird bath!
For starters the solar panel has to be mounted on a small pole or stuck to a wall or post of sorts, as it doesn't have one. I used an old solar light pole & glue! The cable is just attached to the pump so when fixing either in place you have to bear in mind the other is attached to the other end, unlike many others that do unplug from each other.Well it does work as such......we've just had one of the hottest days on record, the solar panel is in direct sunlight....the water fountain for a while was at a steady 30 cms...then became intermittant (this entertained the neighbour's cat) ....like an old man with a full bladder but no strength to let it all go at once! Once the sun went it stopped dead, no reserve of any sort (neighbour's cat went home). Will it work on less sunnier days, in a haze or when slightly clouded??? Doubtful. Can it be returned I'm not sure? I've messed about with the solar panel sticking it to a pole & it's been in the water for a few days now so my return would probably be rejected on some grounds. Not sure it's worth even trying or getting wound up about even though it did cost 16odd quid!I'd say forget it unless you want to use in a bird bath & amuse the local starlings or blackbirds on a sunny day!

Good little fountain
I bought this for the water dish in my tortoise enclosure. it was very easy to set up and install. It works well and produces a very high jet on sunny days. The only issue is there is. no pole or attatchment for the solar panel so it’s really tricky to position as it keeps falling off. I will need to fashion an attachment and glue it on. If it came with a way to position the solar panel and attach it to things that would have been perfect.

Value for money
Bought this to bring to life an old water feature. It seems to work well and for what I paid, can't really complain. Force of water output varies dependent on how much sun the solar panel receives. However, considering the size of the pump it is quite impressive. Only negative, works well in full sun but doesn't work in shade/night time but that is stated in the description. Would be great if it had solar battery back up. Overall value for money and does what is says. Delivered quicker than expected and works extremely well on a sunny day.
