Love this!
I'm bowlegged. Trying to use a regular swim buoy results in cramps and it still will regularly slip out. This one works great! My first one lasted 5 years and then wouldn't hold well so bought another.

Great Device!
Am thoroughly pleased with this device. Much better than a pull buoy between my thighs! Doesn't slip and no need to grip. Encourages core engagement. Works as a front float for kicking.

It’s a little tricky to get on but once it’s on the performance is great!
Putting it on was a challenge but I’m getting better at it. It improved my form and speed. I lap swim daily and am on my 2nd one the first on separated at the seam & I re- glued it and my swimming buddy has been using it and is also very pleased with its performance

Good alternative to standard pull buoy
I needed to shift my body position from a normal pull buoy. This works much better. I saw some complaints that the buoy pops loose when during flip turns. You have to clamp your ankles, which is not a big deal. It is is even harder with a pull buoy.

More natural than pull buoy
I am a moderately good/strong swimmer ( for someone who basically started over age 60) and this has a more natural feel to training than a traditional swim buoy. Not a big difference but I do like and prefer it.

Encourages Bad Breathing Form
This interferes with balance in the pool. It makes rotating much harder. It's fine only in cases where you're not rotating. This would really only be if you're focusing only on your swimming catch using a snorkel. Breathing is not comfortable or efficient when you can only turn your head to breathe. And using this makes rotating hard and unnatural and encourages the bad habit of only turning your head to breathe.

Meh
My son has a lot of backward head tilt which causes him to scissor kick to compensate. We do a lot of buoy work and thought we'd give this a try. It fits my 7yo sons ankles perfectly. I can't imagine an adult or even older child could use this. It works, but for someone like my son who's trying to break the habit of separating his legs, hi ankles just slip right out. If it had some kind of strap to hold the opening closed, it might be useful to us. We'll stick to the traditional thigh buoy. For a more advanced (albeit smaller) swimmer who can isolate upper/core properly without kicking, this might be useful, but i just dont see much advantage over a regular buoy, especially for the price. It is well made and seems like it would last a reasonable service lifetime

super helpful after injuring my knee
I injured my knee and wanted something to limit the movement of my legs while recovering. Saw someone else using this product at the pool so I ordered it. It does the trick. Another benefit is that I use it as kickboard and it has helped me keep my knees together during flip turns. I am old and have not had any problems getting it on or keep it on. Works much better than the regular pull buoys for me.

Ottimo

This is a fabulous aid to add variety to your swim. This is my second ankle buoy from Finis - the previous one lasted over 2 years. I use it most days, for 1/3rd of my swim. Really great to work your abs, creating core strength. Terrific for lower back strengthening. Feels a bit unusual at first, but becomes the new 'best buoy' very quickly. Advice: start with 100m freestyle, increasing each swim session. Stick with it.

Excellent product, good quality item. It makes a huge difference when swimming. It keeps my legs together as I have limited movement to in my legs, thus helping with exercises in the pool, and swimming. Highly recommend!
