Faulty design
There’s a pretty serious design flaw concerning the back tension spring, holding the backrest in place. It will spontaneously drop clients in the upright position when they shift even slightly for comfort, and it scares the crap out of everyone. Happens at least twice a day.

UNSAFE.
These beds are unsafe. The back rest will fall out of the adjustment bar anytime a customer moves. We ordered two beds and both of them are defective. One has a leaking cylinder and the second one the backrest will not stay in place. We have been loyal customers to Ink Bed for the last 4 years. When we informed them of the issue with these they refused to refund us. When they finally agreed to refund they wanted us to pay for shipping. Once they agreed to pay shipping they wanted a restocking fee. We will no longer be purchasing from Ink Bed.

perfect for my 5 year old
The artist chair is a joke, perfect for my 5 year old. The client chair is what it is, cheap alt to a tat soul chair. At its lowest setting it is still to high to tattoo the top of someones arm. And if you place it on the full upright setting be careful because it can skip down a tooth

Bed not safe!!!!!!!
The bar in the back to lift the chair up and down comes out of the notches in the back causing the client to fall it is very dangerous. We thought the bar was bent but the piece that holds the bar in place is off and so is the base where the bar connects. The bar will just pops out sending your client back ward. poorly designed.

It is good to cut a piece of wood to keep the back from falling out of the notch!
It is exactly what the description described.

Not very stable, wobbly. I had a paper towel with rubbing alcohol on sitting on the chair and it started to break down the material.

Would not recommend this chair
Chair is not stable, hydrolic part has never worked and the back is very unstable. Will not stay in a high position and will fall when client is in chair. Would not recommend this chair.

Modify the springs
Chair came in two separate boxes, and one was separated and didnt arrive until 2 days later. The chair is decent for the price, cant really complain. Had issues with the back randomly dropping, so upon further inspection, the retention bar was slightly bent causing it not to catch. Rectified that, and STILL had issues with the back dropping. So I took about 15 links off of the spring, replaced, and havent had any issues. If you buy this chair, I suggest doing the same, or stopping at your local hardware store to pick up a replacement spring with more tension. Problem solved. I give 3 stars because of issues with shipping and having to modify it to work properly, overall, not a bad chair for the money...
