Brilliant!
I've purchased two of these so that I can alternate them, YES! the top is hard to screw on but all you need is a good grip and the same for taking the top off, this is what I do. Sit forward on a reliable chair with anything that will give you a grip, I.E Chamois leather or a large piece of thin rubber, basically anything that will grip, put whatever you choose to use between your legs with the Yeti between you and itself, cross your lower legs to aid grip and twist till you feel it bite, twist some more then tip it up to see whether or not it leaks, if it does, twist it some more, job done. So guys, all you need to do is GET A GRIP and you'll be good to go.

Very well made and thermally efficient.
Very happy with this 1 Gallon thermos. We have been using it to store hot water that was heated on our small woodburner, for dishing and cooking in the evening.I tested its thermal performance over-night in our house with an average ambient temp of around 16°C as follows:98°C at 8pm92°C at 10pm72°C at 7:30am67°C at 11am57°C at 6pmWhich I believe to be pretty good really.Only gripe is it can be hard to undo the large top, due to pressure changes due to cooling (but if you don't go nuts on when tightening it will be fine for anyone).I expect to be using this in 15- 20 years, assuming we don't loose the small pour access cap.BTW. The "MagCap" refers to the small cap having a magnet inside it which can be placed (thread side up) in a purpose made depression located on the Larger Top, thereby helping you to not loose it.Despite this feature ... I'm sure some of us will misplace it at some stage.
