Will this battery fit the Baofeng BF-F8HP without modification?

I have two BF-F8HP radios that were purchased at the same time and two of these extended batteries that were also purchased at the same time. One extended battery locks and the other, while completely seated, will not lock. However, even-though the extended battery does not lock, it still works fine with the radio. The extended battery that does not lock, will NOT lock on both radios. The extended battery that does lock, locks on both radios. Both stock batteries also lock on both radios. So, it appears to be a manufacturing tolerance problem..If someone knows how to make the battery lock, please leave a comment.

This battery seems to have a hole at the top right that the stock 1800mAh battery doesn't. Is that a charger port?

The 1800mAh battery does indeed have a charge port built into it, the 1600mAh does not. Both battery packs are Lithium-Ion technology, which means you probably do not have any means of using the charge port anyway. Just charge it in your regular desktop charger - for safety! There are automotive 12volt adapters to allow you to use the desktop charger in your vehicle, or you can buy a cigarette lighter adapter which replaces the battery pack for mobile use. Lithium-Ion cells are charged by pulse-reflex method, NOT constant current/voltage! This is done to prevent over heating and possible cell explosions. Be safe!

Will the BF-F8+ still work with the "drop in" charger with this radio attached?

If I understand your question correctly, then yes. The extended battery will work in the charger that comes with the radio.

Will this fit the 2013 Baofeng UV-B6?

Yes, with a little modification. You have to grind or cut off two plastic ridges on the battery, but it is very easy and there are videos on YouTube showing how to do it. I have done three of them and not had any problem. They are great batteries.SORRY, I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THE UV-B6. I DID NOT NOTICE THE NEW MODEL. I HAVE THE 5R+ SO BE CAREFUL, I REALLY DONT KNOW.
