Got it today and used it to cook 2 cups of rice. Set the adjustment knob to about 60 minutes. At the end of the 60 minutes the knob was still stuck at 60 minutes and had not moved. I let it to go on for another half hour hoping that it will work at the end but it did not. Rice bottom over cooked as a result (charcoaled). It left a hot spot on the heating plate as well as the cooker insert as it can be seen from the pictures. Product was shipped as shown in the picture. Not protected! That could be the reason for the knob getting busted as I notice it was hard to turn from the get go. It could be the issue with this unit only, however I elected not to have it replaced as I have no confidence on the quality of this product. I am sending it back after one use and not taking any chance in trying it again for a second cook. Hope this helps everyone!
