Quality product!
I have this unit installed on my mobile Dj preamp/amp rack. This is a all metal, professional quality, sturdy power tap. I like the fact of having taps on the front and back of the unit so I can leave everything connected when I put the covers on the rack making setup much easier. Haven't used the spike protection feature on the unit yet (hope to never have to) but I am confident it will do its job. I have two class H amps and one class D connected. I also run my laptop, controller, phone charger and with the amps running just below clipping and this unit has not tripped its breaker. The power switch cover is also handy to prevent accidentally turning it off and the unit is quiet with no hum or inline noise. Money well spent in my book.

Nice rack mount option
I needed a power strip for my new 15U server rack and preferred a rack mountable one. At first I bought a competitor's strip but ended up returning it since it ended up not being UL approved. I feel more comfortable with electrical devices that are UL approved being in my house. It has worked well so far. Plugged it into my UPS and mounted it to the back of my rack to keep the power cords out of sight. It provides plenty of outlets for my various devices. It can be a bit hard to get the plugs pushed into the outlets, though. I guess I'd rather have that than them being loose, but that can be an issue if you've got tight space to deal with. The orientation of the outlets is perfect for wall warts, as they don't end up blocking any neighboring outlets when plugged into the strip. I have quite a few devices with wall warts, so that feature is a necessity. The 15ft long cord was way overkill for my needs, but I can see that being handy for some people. Construction is pretty heavy duty.

Best surge protector there is, bar none. Thanks, Ted
These are fantastic. I have them for my home theater system, my hi res music system, and my computer setups. I had one for a few years and the reset button broke, I called them and they sent a new replacement without any questions. I was going to have them repair the reset button, but they just sent a new one. You can't beat that kind of service. They are still working great one is about 7 yrs old now. Ted

Great to Have.
These are amazing to have. I use one in my stage box rack so everything is patched directly into the front. Love it.

Convenient power strip
I bought this to have convenient outlets on my workdesk, using vertical space on a rack rather than clutter in the work area. I chose this for the basic design. I only needed the front facing outlets, not any special voltage/surge control. The construction is sturdy. The internal wiring is nicely done for something designed for easy factory assembly. I got to see it taking things apart to remove the clear plastic cover from the master switch. I agree with other reviewer that the green power LED is a bit bright. The power strip has been handy as intended. I am happy with the purchase.

Works great for what I needed
I bought this and their Triplite 1500W UPS. I plugged it into the UPS, and only using it for my 3 switches so they don't occupy the entire UPS. I wouldn't recommend using it plugged into the UPS if are powering servers with the PDU because most likely it will overload the socket on the UPS. I have my servers and router plugged into the UPS directly. Very happy with it.

Good power suppressor.
This surge protector has two groups of outlets: black and white. There is not much difference between the white and black, the only difference that I see is a 170 microhenries(uH) or so electrical shocking coil. Look at the pic, is the "green magnetic Ferrite core" coil. That's it. I did some quick checking with the scope, basically I did not see much difference between the two outlets, it should not be any, right? After all this is a "surge suppressor(spike, power transient, etc)." Inside, the unit looks well built, nothing cheap. Still , I am not sure if 100 bucks is the correct price for this thing. I guess we are paying for the R&D. The cost to build this thing in China? 30 bucks at the most! If we go by that, the profit is 233%! UPDATE: 03/25/19 I just added a second ISOBAR12ULTRA power surge suppressor to my bench. This device contains a bunch of Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV), and these MOV perform the voltage suppression. For the modes listed, minimum three MOVs are required: Hot to Neutral, needs one, Neutral to Ground needs one, and Hot to Ground needs one. However, I see about six MOVs. Gas discharge would have been better, but I guess cost more. Also contains chock coils. Accordingly to Trip Like web site it meets the criteria of UL 1449. The AC Suppression Response Time is less than 1 ns. The UL 1449 clamping voltage is 330V and this is the best. Higher than this is not recommended. The AC Suppression Joule rating 3840 Joule, the higher the better.

Tripp Lite - wonderful products
Tripp Lite consistently produces excellent power management/distribution products. This is no exception. I love the outlets on both sides that allow room for certain wall-warts (based on the configuration of the clunky things). Great that it has outlets on both sides - love that. And the cord is much longer than I expected. I haven't measured it - but looks to be about 6-8 feet. An unexpected bonus.

I live in an older area with many trees and overhead hydro wires that result with many power interruptions and outages. I did considerable research when I selected the Tripp Lite Isobar12 Ultra Surge Protector. It is a well built unit (not made in China) that offers quality protection with 10 outlets from the rear that I can connect all the various plugs, and leave a very clean and uncluttered look from the the front. I have removed the rack mounting ears and attached rubber bumpers on the underside. Very pleased with with the Tripp Lite build quality, features and equipment protection to date!
