As an avid crocheter I'm always looking for a good deal on yarn. I was trying to find just the right colour for a gift. This is a lovely shade of green. It looks like spring grass. The texture is so soft and easy to work with. Once the project was complete I washed it in my machine using a mesh bag. It came out beautifully. The yarn was even softer, cosier for being washed. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I liked it so much I bought more in grey for myself. I would most definitely recommend this to others.

The yarn is #4 size. I use this yarn regularly for laprobes, blankets and scarfs. Works up great every time. The colors are true. Washes good. Donate items all year.

Wife approved. She makes baby and toddler bed blankets. She says the feel is OK and it's easy to work with. Not as soft as other brands, but she uses this for the trim.

Arrived the next day and it was a Sunday. Still do not know how that happened. Seller is great and price was good. Yarn came in plastic wrap so it was protected. Now about the yarn... this is a very light weight yarn. I use it for Tunisian crochet since this style of crochet is very dense and projects can become heavy.The variegation is nice. The yarn is soft but does split somewhat easily but I find using bamboo needles helps this.The yarn has a lot of "stretch" in it as opposed to other yarns that are much stiffer. I fear that it may become snagged very easily after project is finished but that is yet to be seen since I am not done. it is the right weight for Tunisian and would be great for baby blankets. I tried this with a corner to corner pattern and found the yarn to be to thin for an adult afghan. Added some pics so you can see how the variegation looks. I like working with this yarn even with the small splitting problem. If you catch your loops correctly you can avoid the splits. I do not know a better way to say that. Some of the skeins are great and have no knots and easy to find end, others are a pain in the rump and are knotted in the center and hard to find the starting thread, it is the luck of the draw. I find this true with most yarns I work with. The colors are great, it has teal, white, brown and dark blue I am afraid the photo's do not do it justice. If this yarn does not snag I will be using it again. Perfect for Tunisian Afghans. I made a bedspread for a full size bed out of the Caron one pound yarn using a pattern with DC stitch and it weighed 9 pounds when I was done and that is to heavy for people to use as an blanket.

While working with this yarn, did not think it was that soft compared to another color I am using now. Hoping it softens up when I wash it. This is the first time using this yarn though.

I really like caron yarn and was really excited to start my new blanket for a friend... however what arrived is not the same as the picture. Upon further investigation I discovered what they sent me is the colour "blossom" and the colour in the picture is "salmon" so that was misleading. I guess it will work but I was really hoping for what was pictured. So do your research before ordering.Came back to say this yarn is actually really pretty and nice to work with.

The black is more of a dark grey...not a nice grey and definitely NOT black.
