Best X-O DELUXE (err to date--to save future embarrassment)
A lot of reviews denounce this addition because there is an ARMORS HUNTERS DELUXE out there that has MORE than this. Personally, I liked this truncated form, it read faster, and isn't sold out (as the date of this posting). This is the premiere XO storyline so if you can only experience this way, stop hesitating, it's AMAZING.

Armor Hunters Lite
This volume features the same great benefits that all of the Deluxe Editions that Valiant has thus far produced. It presents several issues in an oversized format bound in a hard cover and topped off with a few extras. This always results in an enjoyable and valuable package. That being said, EVERY issue in this volume was printed in the Armor Hunters Deluxe Edition. Perhaps the issue is one of planning, of Valiant mapping out how the subsequent issues will be grouped for the Deluxe treatment. While some crossover and redundant printing is to be expected, this volume is difficult to recommend for purchase as it brings almost nothing new to the Deluxe Format. The hardcover contains the Prelude to Armor Hunters issues of XO, the Armor Hunters event issues 1-4 and the parallel XO issues that ironically tell only the back story of the titular villains. What truly baffles is the exclusion of the Armor Hunters: Aftermath issue, a cathartic piece that sets the stage for life in the Valiant Universe post AH. It's an important read that would have served to smooth the edges of this oddly fragmented experience.

XO fans must read
I’ve followed the XO series since the beginning and I’m still impressed with the new series. The collected volume #3 is a great addition to your XO library.

Very good
I hesitated to read this since I'm a Matt Kindt, XO fan. I'm very glad I did. Venditti has his own story to tell and he tells it well.

Save yourself $40
This edition is as pretty as the first two, but it overlaps so heavily with the Armor Wars deluxe hardcover I have to feel one or the other of them was completely not worth it. Decide if you want to have the full Armor Wars arc missing a couple issues of X-O, or if you want all of X-O, missing a couple issues in the Armor Wars story arc.If you're not hung up on having everything hardcover, I'd suggest getting this one and picking up the couple individual comic issues you're missing from Armor Wars; you'll save like $40.
