Great but Packaging Issue
I have a dog who developed an allergy to conventional dry foods. Lips, abdomen would swell horribly. Switched to boiled rice and chicken. Every time I tried to reintroduce regular dry food - same reaction. No budget to do a comprehensive allergy test, so I thought maybe it was the corn used in so many dry food products.Found this Chicken & Oatmeal and she is back on dry food. Two packaging issues though:(1) Wellness itself. The bag used to have a Ziploc - great! then they didn't. Lost almost half a bag of food because of a tipped over bag without the ziploc. Then they came - again - with the ziploc. Great! then they didn't... So for me, this is an issue. I would rather use the same bag as storage rather than moving everything to a storage container.(2) I buy from Amazon because going to Petsmart is a lottery - sometimes they have it, sometimes they don't; waste of time and gas driving there [their website is not reliable about availability]. However, Amazon packaging has been an issue - a single tape across the box lids is not enough. Most of the time the box arrives practically open. If this is the only item in the order, that's okay, but the last time they bundled a couple small item orders with it and -again- the box arrived practically open. Luckily none of the other items was missing. But forewarned, forearmed. I would order this as a single item order.

tough transition but WELL worth it
Like several others have reviewed, my dogs suffered horrible diarrhea when I switched their food. I was so disappointed. The quality of this food , the price comparison to other GMO free foods was attractive. I researched it and felt rather guilty for my spontaneous poorly planned switch. As I have learned the switch should be gradual, this is what I found out:The simplest way to change foods is to blend the old and new foods together for a week or so. Start with a mix that is 25% new food and 75% old. Feed that for two or three days, and if there are no upset tummies or loose stools, increase the blend to a 50/50 mix. Again, feed that for a couple of days, then increase to a 75/25 blend, and finally to 100% new food. If at any stage there is a tummy upset or the dog’s stools become loose, then hold off on increasing the amount of new food in the blend until that problem resolves. If there are no problems at all, it will take a week to ten days to accomplish the switch.********After having acclimated my dogs to this new food for 3 months now, I am thrilled with the results. They are the picture of health, wet noses, super shiny and silky coats. They are black so the dander and dry skin show up easily with every brushing, but no more since switching to Wellness food. I mix their dry food with the wellness canned food and I will be using the wellness treats to supplement my homemade dog biscuits. I love this food (so do my dogs), and the confidence knowing I am feeding them high quality, non-GMO food. I recommend highly, but DO switch SLOWLY!

Smells good! Dog loves it!
I LOVE that this dog food doesn't smell bad! I used to feed my Australian Shepherd Purina Pro Plan and it STUNK! My girl scarfs this food right down. I even use it as training treats! The food is about the size of chickpeas. I happened to buy my first bag when it was only $24 - hopefully the price goes back down (but I think $37 is the usual for this food, even in store). Overall this is a GREAT product! The shipping was fine. It came in a cardboard box and the bag of food was unharmed. Remember people, if the product is damaged you can return it at no charge (with Prime) with a full refund!

Complete Dog Food For Your 4-Legged Buddy
I switched my dog over to Wellness Complete after the previous brand sold out to a major name and the quality declined. In a virtual sea of grain free dog foods and the heart issues linked to them (science has proven the connection), I wanted a well-rounded dog food as a replacement. Not only was it highly rated and apparently great tasting from how much my dog enjoyed it, but my vet was impressed with the choice and recommended it as well (could have save myself some research if I had of just asked her).Highly recommend and your dog will love it.
