My son demanded this toy as his birthday present after watching a youtube video featuring this toy. I obliged because it seemed educational and fun. The toy did not disappoint. The packaging is a bit flimsy but the quality of the actual toy is strong. The included plastic tools are of a different color (yellow) than shown (gray) but my son did not seem to mind. Since he had already watched the video dozens of times before getting his hands on this toy, he did not need much help in taking it apart and putting it back together. All it took me was five minutes to teach him how to properly turn the screws using the screwdriver and he was off on his own.

great for 1 year old and three years old!
I bought this toy for my 3-year-old son, he is not able to use the screw correctly. But he showed a great interest in assembling this and much more interest in breaking it apart. My 1-year-old daughter also loves the trucks and likes how it comes apart and goes back together . As they get older, I think they will love doing it themselves.

This was the first choice toy at the party!
We gave this to our grandson at his third birthday party. This was the toy he chose to play with during the rest of the party. Now that made big points with the us and his parents!!!! He had it apart and was putting it back together when it was time to leave. Oh,and you don't need to continually buy batteries for this machine.

Compared to other take apart car toys this one is garbage. The screws don't hold it together and they are more difficult to put in.
