Effective and usually priced very affordable!
I find this brand very effective at deterring the abundant deer population in our community. I try to plant deer resistant plants but they eat them anyways. The deer are over populated and starving in our area. I do have some plants planted by the previous owners that I cover with bird netting and I spray. The spray is effectively until it rains hard a few times. I forget to reapply until it’s too late:( To stay effective, the repellent needs to be reapplied every month, it’s a constant battle but this product is affordable and occasionally it’s offered at an unbelievably low price so you have to stock up. Nothing is 100% deer proof or repels them completely but this does a decent job! I like these jugs are premixed and have a sprayer attachment that works well. I don’t think this spray has any harmful chemicals but it smells awful when first applied. After it dries, the scent is barely if at all noticeable.

Works Perfectly and Keeps Pests Away!
This product really works! I’ve tried several deer and rabbit repellents over the years, and Liquid Fence is by far the most effective. It creates an invisible barrier that actually keeps animals from eating plants and flowers — and it works almost immediately after spraying. 🔹 Effective and Reliable After one use, I noticed a big difference. No more chewed leaves or missing blooms! The scent is strong at first but fades quickly while still repelling animals. The best part is that it remains effective even after rain — perfect for outdoor gardens and flower beds. 🔹 Safe and Easy to Use The spray bottle design makes application simple and mess-free. I appreciate that it’s safe for plants, pets, and wildlife while still powerful enough to deter deer and rabbits. Just shake, spray, and let it work its magic! ✅ Pros: Proven to repel deer and rabbits effectively Safe for plants and animals Rain-resistant formula Works fast and lasts long Easy-to-use spray bottle ❌ Cons: Strong smell at first (but it fades quickly) Overall: If you’re tired of deer and rabbits destroying your garden, this is the solution. Liquid Fence delivers consistent results, protects your plants, and saves you time and frustration. Absolutely worth every penny!

Great product
I used this product all last summer and it works great. Defy keeps the deer and rabbits away from my plants. Deducted a star because 1--the trigger spray gets very tiring and leaks on your hand ( not dangerous but then you smell like the product).2-- It does smell up your yard pretty badly until it dries. 3--it obviously rinses off in the rain, so needs to be reapplied many times. And if you have several days of rain in a row, the deer will find the plants you have been protesting, and demolish them before you can reapply

IT WORKS!
Every gardener should have a jug of this stuff in her arsenal. I was so surprised to find IT ACTUALLY WORKS. And spray it on EVERYTHING you don't want the squirrels, deer, other critters to chew. Yes, you need to spray again @ every three weeks, but you only need to spritz here and there and it does the trick. Once the animals encounter it, they HATE the smell and then they become conditioned to staying away from that plant. So it goes a long way. And no, you don't need to freak about putting it on fruits & vegetables. I spray our blueberries and in a week they are fine to eat w/o rinsing and no worries (but maybe rinse in a colander anyway). Point being, humans will not taste it and it doesn't poison you. Stay UPWIND when spraying. It smells like rotten eggs and pig urine (which is why the critters don't want anything to do with whatever you spray it upon) and if you get it on yourself/clothes, you need to scrub the beegeezuz out of yourself and your clothes. Humans cannot smell it after one day, so no worries there either.

Sprayer bottle breaks every time
This is the second time I’ve purchased this product, and both times the spray bottle broke after just one or two uses. The first time it happened, I assumed it might’ve been my fault. But now, after giving it another try years later, I realize it’s a design flaw. The problem is that the plastic housing at the top of the bottle breaks or detaches very easily, and once that happens, the product leaks everywhere when you try to use it. The smell is absolutely awful—if it gets on your hands, clothes, or garage floor, it’s extremely difficult to get rid of and makes the entire experience unpleasant. The first time this happened, I ended up throwing the entire bottle away because it was completely unusable, and it was incredibly frustrating. Even when I tried to hold the sprayer together and make it work, it still leaked everywhere. And this is not the kind of stuff you want leaking anywhere. The smell is so strong and offensive that spilling it—even in small amounts—is something you want to avoid at all costs. I bought it again, just chalking up the first bottle to whatever—but now I’m back in the same situation after using it only once or twice. The sprayer is broken again, leaking constantly. Even when it seems like it might work, it sprays incorrectly—either leaking, sputtering, or coming out in a stream instead of a spray. Now I have to contend with my only option, which is to transfer this awful-smelling liquid into another spray bottle I’ll have to buy separately. Just the thought of opening it again—and having so much of that liquid exposed to the air—is enough to make you vomit. I honestly can’t speak to whether the product actually works because I’ve never been able to apply it properly. And frankly, I’m done trying. No matter how effective it might be, the packaging is so poorly designed that I’ll never buy it again.

Urine smell attracts coyotes and loose effectiveness near fall
This product works well for most of the year to deter wildlife. I've noticed the closer to winter, when animals begin to sense the need to fatten up, that they will disregard the smell and eat anyways. I make my own spray out of garlic, onions, castile soap, eggs, and cayenne pepper now, but this repellant works great in a pinch. The cost is high if you have a big garden. I used to use it exclusively and for many years which is how I know it stops working as well closer to fall. Another downside is that it attracts coyotes due to the smell being very similar to coyote urine. I have cats so this is was the actual reason I stopped using it entirely. Even though I live in the suburbs where we almost never get coyotes, I used to spot them a lot scoffing around my yard. I have not seen one since I stopped using it. While I find my solution works much better and is cheaper, it comes with it's own downsides. You have to be careful how much cayenne you use in your water solution because too much causes the oil to stick to the plant and burns them. Beans do not like garlic or onions so I just use cayenne dish soap and rotten eggs for them. In the end, the best rule of thumb is that you need to grow enough for both yourself and the wildlife because you will lose some regardless of how diligent you are. However, in my case, they don't usually take a second bite. Conclusions: If you don't have small pets, your garden isn't huge, and you can afford it, this stuff works great through the growing season up until around fall. Even then it still works but not as well. Attracts coyotes Can burn some plants. Beans mainly.

It works better than the premix!
For years, I've been using Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent Concentrate as my go-to solution for keeping my garden safe from pesky rabbits. Let me tell you, it's been a game-changer! First off, what I love about this product is its effectiveness. Deer and rabbits don't even have to nibble on your precious plants for this repellent to work. They naturally steer clear of the scent, so just a simple application can keep them at bay. It's like having a protective force field around your garden! I prefer the concentrate over the ready-to-use mix because it allows me to customize the strength of the repellent. Plus, it's more economical in the long run. With the concentrate, you can mix it with water to your desired concentration, giving you control over how much you use. Another great thing about this repellent is its versatility. You can spray it on pretty much any vegetation in your yard, from ornamental gardens to flowers, shrubs, trees, and vines. Whether you're protecting your prized rose bushes or your favorite tomato plants, this repellent has you covered. One of the key features I appreciate is its rain resistance. Once applied, it starts working immediately and continues to protect your plants even after a downpour. No need to constantly reapply after every rainstorm! And the best part? It's harmless to both plants and animals when used as directed. So you can rest easy knowing that you're not harming the environment or the critters you're trying to repel. Now, I do have one recommendation: invest in a separate sprayer for this concentrate. While the concentrate is highly effective, it's important to apply it evenly and thoroughly. Having a dedicated sprayer ensures you get the best coverage possible without the risk of contaminating other gardening products. In conclusion, if you're tired of rabbits munching on your garden greens, Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent Concentrate is the answer. With its proven effectiveness, rain resistance, and plant-friendly formula, it's a must-have for any gardener looking to protect their plants year-round. Give it a try, and say goodbye to garden woes!

Effective product
This product consistently keeps deer away from the plants I choose to spray. Feels like weekly spraying is required, not just once a month as recommended by manufacturer. It also doesn’t leave a taste we can detect, so I am comfortable spraying berries & fruit.
