Just Buy It - It Works and It’s Simple
If you don’t want a magical powder for your smelly laundry that takes nearly zero effort then I cannot help you. When I used RLR the first time I honestly thought I was being scammed. It is powder in a packet that you toss in the washing machine with normal detergent and run through a regular cycle. No soaking, no extra steps, no pre-treating and no time consuming complex directions. Open the packet, dump the contents on laundry and proceed as normal. My husband produces some of the smelliest gym clothes and the free and clear detergent we are forced to use due to my eczema just is not cutting it. I’ve tried vinegar, extra rinse cycles and even enzymatic cleaners. The smell still lingers. It’s awful. RLR was my final hope. I now use it on my husband’s towels, pillow cases and our dogs’ bedding. It does not leave any scent behind but the laundry comes out of the machine clean and unfunky. It’s amazing. These packets are a little pricey but the alternative is stinky clothes that are not wearable. I don’t use RLR in every load and I have used half a packet in a small load with some success.

Great for restoring cloth diapers
I’ve been pleased with this laundry detergent powder. It effectively whitens and brightens my baby cloth diapers and workout clothes, even tackling musty towels. The non-toxic, fragrance-free formula is gentle on sensitive skin, and the 12-pack lasts a long time. Great for diaper stripping/restoring for fellow cloth diaper enthusiasts!

You won't believe what this will remove from your "clean" laundry!
I use this to strip cloth diapers if we get build-up or any stink/ammonia problems, but you can use it to strip just about anything that you can wash! I'm amazed at what it can pull out of what appears to be clean laundry! I just used RLR to strip my twin's Loveys. They are little blankets with bear heads on them and my children use them like pacifiers. They are always sucking on them and get them drenched in saliva, and carry them around getting god knows what on them. They each have 3 that I rotate so I can wash them after a day or two of use. Recently they had got to the point that they were smelly even after washing and drying. I tried adding a little bleach to the washer, but even that was only helping a little and not completely taking the stink away. I was getting desperate as these things were so stinky they made my stomach turn but my kids can't function without them! Anyway I used about half a packet dissolved in a small basin of very hot water and let the loveys soak overnight. Within 30 minutes the water was turning muddy and these had just come out of the washer! By the time the soak was over the water was disgusting, but the loveys were no longer stinky! I rinsed them and threw them in the washer and they smell amazing! Like when they were brand new! Plus the colors were bright and they were extremely soft. To strip a large amount of stuff: Fill your bathtub half full of very hot water and dissolve 3 packets. Add diapers or other items to be stripped. Stir occasionally and let soak until water is completely cool (or overnight). Rinse well and then wash with detergent in washing machine as usual. Use this on your towels, blankets, sheets, dingy clothing or work clothes. Anything that you want really clean or needs more than a regular wash to be really fresh. You won't be disappointed!

Easy to use, decent product. Would probably work for everyday purposes.
This is an interesting item. I didn't order it to clean baby diapers or anything like that, though I'm sure it would do a fine job. My husband ordered this for me because I recently bought several pairs of black pants from several different retailers, and after one washing of each pair, seemed to release a monster that is the undying odor of sulfur dyes used to keep the fabric black. I tell you, I cannot wear a single pair of my four brand new pairs of black pants because the odor is sickening to me. It smells like overpowering chemicals and sulfur. I've tried several methods of removing the odor, like soaking in vinegar, Yaddi Yaddi Yadda, and NOTHING has helped. The smell is unwavering. Each pair of pants has been washed on the harshest settings at least 5 times now, and the smell has either remained the same or seems MORE powerful, somehow. It's definitely a huge waste of my hard earned money if I can't get these pants wearable. Then again - If I succeed in getting the horrific smells out, do I WANT to wear these pants? Imagine what chemicals would be leaching through my skin if I did?? Ugh. So, I've tried this stuff twice now on all of the pants, and while I thought it may have been helping after the first wash, now, after another smell test, I am not so sure. I think I'll wash the pants again, probably about 10 more times, and see what the status is at that point. I don't want to ding this product because it hasn't worked on my particular problem since it was labeled for stinky black pants dye. I am simply experimenting with whatever I can find. So, if it's baby diapers or other smells you need to remove from clothing, this is easy to use and probably effective. For my black pants... I may be donating them or simply tossing them.

Can get out OXI CLEAN stink.
Copilot recommended this to get the odor from the odor removing OXI CLEAN. Since vinegar failed to make one dent in the OXI CLEAN odor, this was selected. Depending on the material, this will work where all other options failed.

Used them for my son's cloth diapers. Soaked the cloth diapers in the product then ran through laundry. Diapers came out clean and smelling fresh.

This stuff is the best. I used to cloth diaper and used RLR all the time to clean them. Figured I'd do my towels. This is 7 large towels, two hours. They were in my closet "clean." I've found it best to use warm/hot water, a tablespoon of powered tide, and a whole package in the tub.
