Worth the money.
This review is for the "single" hammock. It was only 11.99 at the time i purchased. It included straps and carabiners. The carabiners are heavy duty. The straps are more than adequate. There seems to be a lot of reviews complaining about the straps but the ones i received are over 8 feet long and defiantly strong enough to support the 400 pounds that is claimed. Maybe the company upgraded after complaints.? They are not tree straps so you will need to tie your own knots but the material is kinda silky so it was easy for me to tie and un-tie them for different trees. The hammock is comfortable for sitting or laying. Total weight with straps and carabiners was just over one pound but i was able to reduce it to 14 oz by swapping the carabiners for some lighter s-biners. Overall i'm happy with the purchase. I may buy another one to keep in the car. Definitely worth the twelve bucks.

Great product, but the included "ropes" were useless to this "non-boy scout".
Part of me wants to ding this product a star for the crappy excuse for “ropes” it provided, but I can’t do it. It’s a fantastic product and a great price ($13 when I bought it). We’ve only used it for a week so far so I can’t attest to its longevity, but it held my 6’2” 300lb. butt as well as took the abuse from 2 or 3 kids at different times and didn’t have a problem. The photo shows my daughter and her friend playing a board game in it.I did have to buy a pair of PYS Hammock Straps because the ropes that came with it were pretty useless. They were just straps, no loops, hooks or even instructions. I did some google research on how to tie a proper knot for a hammock, but the results weren’t something I would trust. Plus the straps really didn’t impress me in terms of length and strength....we had to use it on some pretty WIDE trees. But the hammock? Wonderful.Pros:Very light weight but strong.Built in carrying bag turns into storage pouch.Cheap!!...but in cost only. Stitching looked solid.Dries very quickly as well.Cons:You really need to buy a better set of straps. I recommend the 20ft. PYS Hammock Straps.Happy hanging!

Good for relaxing, not camping.
This is a standard inexpensive hammock. Plenty of other hammocks are available in this general price range, and they all seem to be about the same. This one is made of a parachute type of nylon, not ripstop. I would not expect it to hold up to much abuse, but that is what the brand name camping hammocks are for.The hardware is useable, but I replaced the carabiners with some stronger ones I had lying around. This is not necessary, but not a bad idea if you have some spare hammock or climbing carabiners. The "tree straps" are not so much tree straps as weak, short nylon webbing. I realized this before I ordered, but it may not be obvious to others, so I thought I would mention it. I have a bunch of proper tree straps and didn't need another set lying around. If you don't have tree straps, I suggest buying a real set, or buying a different hammock that comes with real tree straps. So this hammock is not the most durable, comes with cheap hardware, and the "tree straps" are useless, so why buy it? Well, the eight or so yards of nylon to make a hammock would cost more than this, and I would have to sew it together. The parachute nylon feels a bit nicer than ripstop against my skin, and it's light and packs down small.I have a hammock I use for camping that is heavy duty, has all the quilts, bug nets, ridglines, and everything else. It packs down bigger, can be a PITA to set up, and I overheat if I want to sit in it for more than five minutes during a summer day. Having a quick setup, light weight, small option in my pack is worth 17 bucks.Bottom line, this is not a camping hammock. It's a quick and easy option if you want to relax on a hike or in your yard. For the price and intended use it works fine, just get a proper set of tree straps.

Fat Guy approved!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve wanted to try hammocks for a while, my son is 10 and weighs about 65lb, I’m 35 and weigh 320lbs, so I was pretty skeptical that a hammock this cheap ($13-14) would hold me. I bought one for each of us, and this past weekend we took them on a cubscout trip. We did practice setting them up before hand, and like most of the reviews the included tree straps are pretty useless, stopped at the hardware store and picked up a pack of ratchet straps and no prob. I was very nervous getting in the first time being such a heavy guy and anticipating hearing a snap and hitting the ground, but it never happened. The straps on the end of the hammock look small and week but proved their strength. We slept in the hammocks all 3 nights on our trip and every night was great, we both fell asleep quickly and woke up refreshed. The other reviews complaining about comfort may have been sleeping straight on, which you should sleep/lay at an angle of about 30 degrees. This makes a big difference, and at 5’10 and 320lbs if I can fit in there comfortably, anyone should be able too. The only complaint I can justify is the tree straps are inadequate at best. They are strong enough just not long enough, but at the price point I wouldn’t of cared if they didn’t even come with it. We used them to lash up a bag. Get some ratchet straps or decent trees straps, they will give you the most flexibility with different distances between trees as well.

Love this hammock
Easy to put up but based on the other reviews I used different straps. Originally I purchase a two person hammock, I still have it and love it but it was too big for just me using it alone. So I used the straps that came with the double hammock for the single. It’s amazing! Great way to relax and get a quick rest in when needed.

Great for casual use
i bought this hammock so that I'd have one for simple beach days. been about a year and no complaints.Pros: super compact, easy storage, great priceCons: not really a con, but not made for high weight or durability. great for lounging and other casual use. wouldn't recommend for a die-hard camper

Hammock good, bad straps
The straps were so flimsy, but they worked. We have a different one of these hammocks and the straps are so sturdy. I plan to buy new more sturdy straps. Otherwise the hammock portion was the right color and great!
