Excellent quality design - hardware and software. Bit pricey!
This access point is my first purchase of Ubiquiti / Unifi hardware and I only forked out this much after having to return several other brands of access point: Some had an OK user interface but poor range, some had OK range but awful and dated user interfaces with obvious corners cut on features. This AP has 'just worked' from the outset - at least after I'd figured out how the user interface works! Ubiquiti have a UI design intended to give users a one stop way of working with multiple AP's, switches and routers, so if you only have one AP most of that UI remains unused. Importantly for me, despite this you can self host the UI and access it through a browser in the normal way you'd login to other network devices. The difference is you do so through a little control panel type widget that's your 'server' software. I use mine on a Mac (hackintosh) but will be playing around to see how well it works on Linux too - I assume it's a fairly safe bet it works as expected on Windows. I guess there's a reason Ubiquiti have the reputation they've earned with people like Tom Lawrence (Lawrence Systems on YT) who's installing hundreds of these things a year at business and enterprise level. That said I still think they're over priced for what they are - but arguably if you're paying for quality of design at a component level that should make these things last for many years? Time will tell !

Upgraded from Unifi 6 Lite - Speeds = WOW!
We have a full Unifi system at home, which i know is a bit of an overkill, however i love my technology and like the fact the Unifi system is so customisable and configurable. Initially i had a Wifi 6 lite in the centre of the house, but we had lots of issue of intermittent drop outs and slow speed. I have a full fibre connection at 900mbs, the lite could only deliver around 300mbps. Also the wifi signal was poor, it was okish in the house but the garden was non existent. I debated between the 6 LR and the 6 Pro - after much research i decided on the pro. The pro is much larger than the Lite, so will take up more space. Also the mounting bracket is different so it meant new holes in the ceiling. Installation and adoption was a breeze though - all completed seamlessly via the app. Firstly the speed test - fantastic i was now getting 650mbps + on each of my devices which was over double what i was getting with the lite. Wifi range range however did not really improve much. We had a stronger signal in the upstairs bedroom than we did with the lite, but the garden was still non existent. Strange as the AP is only around 16 feet from the patio doors - yes as soon as you step outside it drops off. Go another 10 feet and no signal whatsoever. In summary the pro was definitely worth the upgrade in terms of speed, but if you are looking for a longer reach wifi signal then i would suggest you consider the LR instead. I hope that you found my review helpful

Superb, really easy to set up!
I bought this AP to extend my network. Overall a fantastic product. Luckily I already have a Unifi PoE switch so all I needed to do is plug it in and use the mobile app to adopt it. Took under 10 minutes! Build quality, as always is good. The LED seems a bit brighter on this version than the AP-PRO.

Just works
I manage a few sites running these, primarily small hospitality businesses who've struggled in the past with broadband provider's all in one hubs. From a self hosted Unifi Controller, I can provision a new UniFi AP in no time, and mange them all centrally ensuring they are running and that they are all up to date. Can you get faster or cheaper?! Probably, but my experience is the hassle isn't worth it.
