Q: How long is the measuring tape on it?

It's 40" inches long.the ruler is permanent it can't come off.

Q: Is this a high angle or low angle paddle?

High angle. It's a good quality paddle for touring around the bay and ocean where I am in socal.

Q: Is this paddle one or two peices?

2 pieces- nicely packaged. Must add that I love the "rule" on the paddle shaft.

Q: The female side of the paddle tube has a 1’ long section that is oval shaped is this normal or do I need to return it?

It's normal they oval is there to help you hold the paddle correctly with out having to look at your blade.

Description

The Poseidon Angler Kayak Paddle is ideal for angler paddlers taller than 5'5". Measuring 98.5” (250cm) long, this paddle is the perfect match for wider fishing kayaks
The Poseidon Angler paddle is made of a two-piece anti-slip grip aluminum shaft and fiberglass reinforced polypropylene blades. This ensures better durability and performance on the water and offers an excellent value for money.
This fishing paddle includes an integrated hook retrieval system directly into the blade and a high visibility measurement tape along the shaft that will allow you to measure your catch.
The Poseidon Angler paddle offers a unique ergonomic shaft design that helps with indexing. The right side of the shaft changes from a rounded shape to a slightly oval shape that tells you where to place your hand. This promotes proper technique that reduces wrist fatigue.
The push button system allows the blades to be feathered with a 0/65° angle. Paddling with offset blades will reduce the wind resistance on the top blade as it moves through the air. This ensures an optimized and more comfortable paddling experience.
Inside the paddle, there are 2 additional flotation blocks allowing the paddle to float. This way, you will have no problem retrieving your paddle if it ends up in the water.
