Bosch Cordless Garden Saw Keo (1 Battery 2.0 Ah, 18 Volt System, Cutting Diameter 80 mm, with Swiss Precision Blade Wood Included, in Carton Packaging)

The following is my review of the shears that fit to this handle, but includes info for the handle so seems relevant? :A couple of years ago I bought something similar which was cheap and did not last five minutes ... not because I am tight but because I could not find anything which came with a handle so you can walk along with it? (Bosch handle purchased at same time as this one).I had wanted to buy another clipper/shear but was dubious following my previous experience.I saw this, and that there was a handle available, and decided that Bosch were a reputable make and that even if it did break, I would have some come-back?My fears were unfounded, and it has proved to be an excellent tool, both on and off the handle. Charges quickly enough (around 30 minutes?), and charge last for a good 45-60 minutes with full functionality for the whole time (i.e. it does not become weak as the power runs out). Handle sturdy enough and adjustable for height and angle so easy to find comfortable position. You can also remove the wheels and use as an extension/long reach handle.Unit is light as hand-held and so not tiring to use. The two blades are very sharp and do not struggle with long grass (edging) nor trimming bushes.I would recommend buying the handle as well ... pricey but worth it.I have no fear of it breaking, and as it comes with a decent warranty I guess nor do Bosch?

It works well and certainly speeds up the process of trimming the lawn edges, especially when used with the extension arm. On the downside, it is a bit expensive, getting on for around half the price of the actual tool it attaches to. The actual blade assembly appears to be a bit cheaper, but never seems to be available anywhere....... Also the original blade assembly became quite blunt much quicker than I expected after around 2 years use. Bosch technical support expressed surprise regarding this as apparently no one had complained about it previously.

The saw can cut through small branches within a few seconds and the branch hook can easily be removed for larger branches.For reference some things I have used this for include cutting a door in half, cutting wooden ladders, Christmas tree and small apple tree branches.One thing to be aware of is it does not use the multi-use Bosch battery that comes with the Bosch drill which was disappointing. The saw uses its own built-in battery which I would estimate does not have more than 15 minutes of continuous cutting time. The blade included is very good on dry wood, but would not recommend it for damp wood as it did struggle with some thicker logs.Overall this product does what it is designed for very well, at a reasonable price point. Blades are easy to replace so should be a reliable saw you can use for garden maintenance for a long time.

This is a new purchase so I haven't used it exhaustively yet. However I have used it to prune some neglected shrub roses, a task that with a manual saw would have been very difficult because of access to the branches that needed to be cut, with great ease and success. There are more to do! The saw seems well constructed and durable; charges rapidly (empty to full is around three hours). I haven't used it to exhaustion yet so am not sure of the working life of one charge. I have yet to master a comfortable hand grip since one needs to release a safety catch with thumb or forefinger and simultaneously depress the trigger. The safety catch can be released once running. The speed of the reciprical action can be controlled by the degree to which the trigger is depressed but I guess most users will use it "full speed ahead". The "A" attachment is used to hold a branch allowing one-handed use. It works fine but there is a knack needed to remove and replace the attachment (this is shown diagramatically in the literature supplied). I still have eight fingers and two thumbs. Safety is emphasised in the literature. Wearing sturdy gloves, and ideally eye protection, is recommended but the most important thing to remember is to keep BOTH hands away from the blade. Develop a one handed technique and do not use you other hand to steady the workpiece or to apply extra pressure.So far I am very pleased with this purchase. I have only used the blade supplied but one can purchase blades for metal or a sabretoothed blade for garden use,although the blade supplied cuts green wood satisfactorily.The blade is only about 15 cm long so don't expect to be able to attack a forest tree! Leave that to the tree surgeons!

Die Säge ist sehr handlich und nicht zu schwer. Allerdings ist die Anbringung des Asthaltebügels etwas umständlich und man kann die Äste dann nicht direkt am Baumstamm kappen. Dafür muss der Bügel wieder entfernt werden. Die Sägeleistung und die Geschwindigkeit des Sägeblattes sind sehr gut.

je me suis procuré cet appareil afin d'aider une personne âgée à couper des branches qui lui sont difficiles avec un sécateur traditionnel l'appareil est de bonne facture et la qualité Bosch est reconnu par rapport à d'autres produits similaires qui n'ont pas l'air de pouvoir durer dans le temps de plus le fait de pouvoir utiliser des batteries pour d'autres appareils Bosch fidélise évidemment le client qui a soit un souci de dépenses ou un souci d'écologie en bref très utile pour des personnes ayant des problèmes dans les mains et pour tout autre personne qui désire se faciliter la tâche.

Ottimo prodotto. Si aggancia ottimamente ad un Bosch tagliaerba che già possedevo. Permette la rotazione del tagliaerba di 180 gradi. Sgancio semplicissimo. Il lavoro è facilitato e più veloce.
