Comprehensive 2 year review Pros and Cons
I purchased this pitcher in the year 2020. It is now 2022, and after religious use, many clumsy dings, and different drinks from steaming hot, to freezing cold, this pitcher had held up to its standards. I had placed cold water directly after a hot drink, and hot boiling water directly after taking the pitcher out of the fridge. I've used this for just about everything, juice, hot tea, coffee, any liquid from boiling to freezing. It is been heated and cooled down hundreds if not, thousands of times over the past years. I dinged it a bit on the countertops, park tables, BBQ grill, with and without content, and this pitcher survived. Don't get me wrong I am careful as possible with the pitcher, it is glass after all, but small mishaps and miscalculations when setting this down on a surface won't get to you. Below are Pros, Cons Pros - Can withstand about 300 maybe more degrees Fahrenheit of boiling water - Can boil straight out from an open flame stove or elecrtic stove - Can withstand cold water - Can withstand rapid temperature changes - Small dings and bounces with thick double-layered glass are not going to be detrimental to Pitcher's health, this is still glass so make sure you are putting it on a nice flat surface without any protrusions or solids which can crack the bottom at its own weight - Easy to use and clean - The price is ridiculously worth it, and it is cheaper even now! Cons - can be heavy - Glass is still breakable as with all glass containers Borosilicate glass is literally the same glass we use in chemistry and biology class, those glasses are heated, cooled with all types of liquids, including acid. At times we heat them up with a blow torch then drive them straight into ice. If you are looking for a good glass pitcher, on which you won't abuse as much as glass beakers, get this one. Both are made of the same type of glass. it is unfortunate for people who had broken theirs, and there is also the possibility of human error or foul play to get a refund back.

Great pitcher
Love this lightweight pitcher. I just want to keep cold water in the fridge, but it offers other benefits as well. If you want to create fruit or vegetable infused flavored water, the strainer lid will keep the particles out when you pour yourself a glass. That will also work to keep out pulp from orange juice if you don't like that, and of course would be great for freshly made tea either with leaves or bags immersed. About the orange juice... what if some family member likes pulp in their juice and others don't. By using this pitcher, you can satisfy both, by leaving the lid on or removing it when pouring. The handle is generous and works for big hands as well as small, plus it's sturdy, but the glass itself is very lightweight. That makes a big difference when the pitcher is full of liquid, especially if it will reside on a top fridge shelf, like in my fridge, and needs to be lifted down. I don't have the arm strength I once did and greatly appreciate the lighter weight. The pitcher is also attractive enough to serve water or whatever at the table, and because it's lightweight is easier to pass and handle when sitting down.

Great iced tea/water pitcher.
Love this pitcher. Would give it 5 stars but the edges of the mesh filter tend to fray leaving a sharp edge when cleaning the strainer. Otherwise works great for the iced tea I make in it - goes from stove top to counter top to fridge seamlessly.

Excelent heat resistance, Good pitcher overall
I purchased this pitcher one year ago specifically because it is made of a type of glass that can handle sudden changes in temperature without shattering. I'm lazy, so I like to pour the boiling water directly into the pitcher when I make iced tea. This pitcher has performed phenomenally over the last year, so I bought a second one. Things that I like: 1) Can take boiling water without cracking 2) Parts are metal and glass, so the pitcher and lid will last a very long time (no rubber or plastic that can degrade) 3) Built-in strainer in the lid 4) Dishwasher safe, but also easy to clean by hand because of the large mouth Things that could improve: 1) The pouring quality is about average. Minor changes in manufacturing make the spout slightly different from pitcher to pitcher, so my second pitcher actually pours much better than my first. With my first pitcher, there is always a small dribble of liquid after pouring because the liquid clings to the spout. 2) The handle is not bad, but it could be more ergonomic. Overall, I liked this pitcher so much after a year that I decided to buy a second one, and both perform very well.
