Dual wifi Dome Camera
The media could not be loaded. This is my 4th JideTech camera I have purchased in the last year. I have a wireless dome, two hardwired cameras similar to this one located in front of house and the 5MP PTZ WiFi Camera I am reviewing. All are still working fine. This camera I wanted to specifically target the side of the house where my RV is stored and still be able to pan and target a good portion of the yard and house. Even though we live in residential area we have many coyotes, rabbits, racoons etc I wanted to monitor. I mounted as shown so I can rotate the camera completely around as needed. The wireless router is located about 30 feet from this camera and I have not had signal drop at all so far. The rear dome camera has been connected for about 6 months and it is located further and that has not dropped signal even once. I have the intelligent tracking on and it locates any moving object, locks on to it and rotates to the location the object is moving to. So far on this model I have not had any false objects detected. All these cameras are easy to install via the CamHipro app and I can view all of them with ease on app. It has many features on it I have not used yet except for the intelligent tracking. I stayed with Jide Tech because the other models I used I had major issues with the wireless locking on and those cameras were almost twice the price of what I paid for this camera. The panning feature on this wireless camera is much faster than the panning feature on the rear backyard wireless dome camera I installed months ago so this is an improvement. Wireless panning is usually slower than hardwired. Night vision works quite well for the price of the camera and camera was able to lock on to motion and follow it at night. While panning fast it is normal to be out of focus but when it stops focus is much better as shown in video. Zoom works pretty good for price of camera and as you can see I can read license plate on vehicle. Based on real use experience these cameras are great for the price, service is top notch and communication with vendor is flawless.

Great picture quality
Purchased this camera to replace an existing Amcrest dome POE camera. I have a 9 camera system with all Amcrest cameras connected with Blue Iris. The Amcrest camera I replaced was decent but didn’t provide the field of view I wanted so I was in the market for a PTZ camera that I could aim at what I needed to see. This camera fit the bill perfectly.Setup and configuration was easy and Blue Iris didn’t have any problems recognizing the camera. The PTZ functions worked flawlessly as well. The included software allowed me to quickly find the camera on the network and set up the network setting I needed for my configuration. After that I told Blue Iris where to find it and the auto-detection in BI set it up and configured it automatically. The picture quality on this camera is excellent – much better than the Amcrest and with the optical zoom you can really get in close and the picture remains great. The pan and zoom are fairly responsive. There is a slight lag, but that’s been the case with most IP cameras I have dealt with over the years. There is some motor noise as the camera moves, but it’s not too bad.The field of view on this camera is not as good as the Amcrest, but since you can pan the camera it more than makes up for the fixed position Amcrest. The night vision on this camera is excellent and you get a much brighter picture than the Amcrest produces. The Amcrest has a bit of a halo effect at night. This camera is bright and clear. Very happy with the night vision quality.I did have some questions for the seller regarding adding a microphone to the camera since it supports audio and Wind was very responsive and helpful.Overall, I am very happy with this camera (and the seller) and will probably look into eventually replacing some of my other cameras down the road. Do wish the field of view was a little wider, but it’s not a show-stopper.

Camera has multiple flaws that dramatically reduce effectiveness
I own three of these cameras, my observations are the same for all three. One is connected via Ethernet, the other two via WiFi. This review is a more critical review of my initial review. The pictures are ok to excellent when the camera is operating. Motion can cause the entire camera to reboot, I suspect it's network related (I can duplicate this by manually throttling the bandwidth). I've tried both gigabit Ethernet and dedicated Wifi with the same problem. This renders the camera useless when it may be needed to record evidence. (Increasing 'frameset' via browser helps a lot)Speaking of settings, they do not always remain at your last set point. The recommended app seems to no longer allow setting the ambiguously named bitrate settings. For some reason, static IP address settings still allows the last octet to change at random (my entire network uses static IP addresses).Night vision is hit and miss. Any ambient light at all can cause the camera to quickly alternate between day and night vision modes. Night vision settings are useless. Greater hysteresis in vision modes switching would solve this. The IR LEDs create a "hot spot" toward the bottom of the picture. This severely reduces night vision from just below the middle to the top. Items in the bright zone are washed out.Focus is generally nice and sharp and stays focused zoomed in or out. However, zoom seems limited - leaving you often wanting a little bit more zoom.Panning and tilting are smooth. What zooming it's capable of is also smooth....no jerking of video is noticeable. However freezing rain often prevents the camera from tilting.I'm afraid I'm most accurate giving the camera a single star with this updated review. Any new cameras I buy will lead me to make sure there is nothing in common between this camera and the prospective new camera.
