BlazeCut Automatic Fire Suppression System 9' T300E, Automotive Extinguisher

This is one of those items that really can’t be reviewed unless you’ve experienced a fire situation and the product either worked or didn’t.That said: I’m putting trust in this product for my ‘85 Westfalia camper. My ‘82 Westfalia caught fire and was a total loss. The ‘85 is a replacement and I want to have some insurance and assurance that it won’t happen again.It was fairly easy to install. The instructions were very clear and the product came with zip ties which is a nice touch. Fastening the product to my Westfalias engine bay deck lid was a cinch as I used the zip ties with the metal mesh inside the deck foam.The concept is brilliant: Plastic hose retains high pressure liquified fire suppression gas. When environmental temps rise past a certain temp, the plastic hose melts and the gas is dispensed.For such a simple concept, the cost is on the high side. So ask yourself: What’s more expensive? This product or replacing whatever it is intended to protect from fire?It was a no brainer for me.

The T300E specified by Blazecut for the Ford Transit doesn't fit the hood or engine bay - the T300E is too large to fit.

Added protection when driving my VW. I think of it like an insurance policy. We have all seen the burning VW in the emergency lane on the freeway. Keep your fuel lines fresh and if you smell gasoline, check it out or take it to the mechanic. Carry a couple extinguishers with you.
