GREAT WORKING HEADSET FOR HEAVY MACHINERY!!
This is my third pair of headsets I have ordered.I have used these for about 6 Months worth of solid testing Driving UTV's , Tractors with cab and without, Mowers with cab and without, forklifts. I am located in Texas where the weather can be anything any day off the week. We usually have high winds where I am located. With all of that being said here is my review of these headsets. The comfort is spot on, they are really comfortable to wear and you will get used to wearing them quickly. Now, if you are in a warm environment they can get a little humid at times when you are wearing them all day. That is with any good headset like these though, but its not at all bad really. The Sound quality, the sound on these are great. the level of volume could be higher. I am hard of hearing anyways so that would definitely help. When you are driving or operating heavy equipment you can hear just fine. Unless someone is on a podcast and talking really softly then it can be hard to hear them at times. Also, if you have been wearing these all day long towards the end of the battery life around the 8-10 hour mark you will notice the sound will dampen off. That is usually my sign to recharge them.Mic . speaker quality , This pair is one of the best headsets I have ever purchased to be able to speak into CLEARLY!!! you can be on a zero turn lawn mower going full speed and have a perfect conversation with someone. Or for safety two people can have a safe and clear conversation when someone is in a tractor and the other is on the ground when calling each other.Bluetooth Range is SPOT ON. I have walked away from my phone numerous times and have been at least 50 years from my phone in clear line of sight obviously and have still been able to have a clear conversation with someone.Bottom line if you work outside and need something hands free!! This pair has been a great tool for me and my friends. It has aloud us to still be able to make or take calls or listen to music being hands free allows us the freedom to be able to still work and get things done without having to stop and mess with the phone. I have given two of these headsets out as gifts for my guys who do excavation dirt work operating heavy and loud equipment all day. They have all told me they have loved these and would highly recommend these to anyone. And I will probably buy more of these in the future for others. I just wish they made a louder sounding one is all and maybe upgraded replacement ear muff pads.

Works extremely well, great microphone noise reduction
I was skeptical about the noise cancellation for the microphone, but these work great and I am very impressed! They are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, very easy to operate with gloves on, and phone audio is clear as a bell. Even on my rather loud mower with the blades running, callers report they can barely hear a background hum and don't believe me when I tell them I'm sitting on a running mower. Battery life is good; I've run it all day long streaming music and it lasts the entire day on a single charge. Also I didn't realize how much faster the day of mowing would go by just listening to music. There are only two detractors I'll mention, although both are pretty minor compared to the performance of this thing. One is that the speakers don't have much bass. Not really a problem for just working in the yard and considering the operating environment, but you won't be DJ'ing any raves with these. Again not really an issue for just casual listening while working. The other is the noise reduction level. They're pretty good, just not great. I typically go for a higher NRR of like 30-32, so these let in more noise than I'm used to. I might not use these at the range, but they are certainly sufficient for normal activities like mowing grass, running the tractor, and chainsaw work. Along with the other features, I like these enough to use them over my other higher NRR hearing protection for all of my yard activities now.My spouse and I have struggled with maintaining communications when I'm out on the property all day working and can't hear nor feel my phone due to the noise and vibration. We've tried phones, mobile radios, even light signals. This completely solved our problem. Highly recommended, and despite being a little pricey they are definitely worth the investment.

Better for the shop, not sure about the range
I wasn't sure which product I should buy but I saw that this Sync and the Walker XCEL bluetooth ear protection both had free returns, so I ordered both. Over the course of an afternoon, I compared both in my wood shop. I used Spotify on my Android phone as the source for music. My findings are as follows:Hearing protection - my loudest machine is my jointer, and while operating it, the Honeywell blocked more noise. I tried all settings on the Walker and none did as well. Winner - SyncSound quality - despite playing with the equalizer settings, I couldn't get the Sync to sound great ( I spoil myself when not in the shop with a pair of Marshalls), but the unit outperformed the Walker to my ear. I listen to bluesy rock and alternative if it matter. The XCEL may have better highs, but didnt make up fo the lack of mid and base. Winner - SyncEase of use - both were easy to set up. Had to charge the Sync first, but no big deal - TieTuning out my wife - I was unable to hear her at all at normal conversation volume while wearing the Sync. Her voice came through the speakers to a variable degree on different settings with the XCEL. She needed to speak a bit louder than normal for me to be able to understand her. Winner - Sync . However, in a situation where communication might be important , as on the range with other shooters, the XCEL might be better.Comfort - both are light and have a beefy, well padded headband and well padded muffs. The Sync is just a little tight on my fat head compared to the XCEL . Winner - XCELBuild quality - both are solid. The only negative I can find with the Sync is that the battery is built in and not replaceable without expertise and effort. The XCEL uses 2 AAAs. Winner - XCELVerdict - I'm sending the XCEL back because it doesn't perform either of its most important (to me) functions- hearing protection and music playback - as well as the Sync. I just wish the Sync had replaceable batteries, and hopefully the headband will loosen a little with time.
