Delicious oil in beautiful jars
This product wins big on two fronts - first and foremost the oil is excellent, and second the jars are absolutely stunning.I was delighted to try this as I love extra virgin olive oil. The makers are known to me as quality producers but I hadn't tried it before. I was really impressed. Extremely high quality, wonderful fresh yet light taste. This is the sort of top quality oil that you have on it's own with ciabatta, and maybe just a touch of balsamic. It's a really superb product, and makes sense of the high price tag.The other big selling point here is the jar. Wax sealed - careful when opening it - the bottle is a real thing of beauty. Hand painted in bold colours it looks really good on the kitchen counter. It has been commented on by every guest I've had over recently. The pouring lip is a nice touch and works well. And the bottle is reusable once the oil is gone which I would think most people will want to do as it is far too nice to throw away. Again, the price of the product makes sense on this front too when you factor in this lovely, hand-painted bottleOverall this is a fantastic oil in a beautiful bottle. It is worth it for a treat for yourself, but it would make a really amazing gift for someone too.

Super product
This is arrives in a pretty cool looking bottle which I do like in the kitchenI am not a massive olive oil user but do like a dribble from time to time, and I’m no taste expert.I used this dribbled over some fried potato wedges and a bit of salad and I thought it elevated the dish to a new level, I liked the taste, the creamy oil was lovely, I hadn’t realised just how much it improved food.I understand that not everyone will have the same tastes etc, but I thought this was exceptional. Love it.

Italian oil taster
This oil is style over substance, beautiful bottle, might as well be supermarket oil inside, zero flavour, no pepper on the palate, waste of money

A touch of class.
My wife follows the “Mediterranean diet” and uses olive oil all the time. This is both good quality oil and also (and perhaps most importantly) a much nicer thing to have out in the kitchen than a glass bottle with a supermarket label. (You open it with a corkscrew, just as you would a bottle of wine. In case anyone was wondering.)The manufacturer says that when the oil is gone it is possible to refill it, although I don’t know exactly how hygienic that would be over time. The one thing that we aren’t sure about, and as yet we haven’t received a reply to the question, is why there is an oil stain on the bottom of the holder. It might be that it has just picked up some oil in the filling process, as the stain doesn’t appear to be getting bigger. It’s also not leaking out.The price is rather high, although I understand that this reflects the hand made and hand painted nature of the product. If we can safely refill it as suggested then that will make it much better value, but I need to double check that before doing so.
