WAHL Professional – Senior Professional Cordless Clipper Metal Edition

The Wahl Metal Edition Seniors is one of the best grooming purchases I’ve made. Cutting primarily my own hair doing fades, and occasionally friends and family for 9 years, I’ve transitioned to the Wahl Senior Metal Edition clipper from the Wahl starter color coded clipper.The weight is balanced, and not over cumbersome making each stroke feeling balanced. I also appreciate the thoughtful design of the curvature at the bottom and the overall girth. I’m able to maneuver the clippers comfortably in my hand while having a firm grip and precisely cut my hair. In addition, the metal material doesn’t interfere with maintaining a good grip from what I initially thought could possibly make it slippery to grip . Compared to what I’m use to, it cuts seamlessly and effortlessly with one pass.The battery life and both charging speed is reasonable. It lasted as advertised, and product details states it takes approximately 70 minutes to charge, however I charged it for under an hour to a full charge. Not to mention, you have the option of having it plugged in via a nice lengthy cord if the battery dies. The noise level was reasonably quiet. It was subtle enough to be able to hear my hair being cut, which is important for me. And it doesn’t have that loud vibration noise compared to other clippers I’ve researched reviews on.Lastly, I regrettably can say I’ve already dropped this new purchase 3 feet roughly from my stomach onto tiling… ugh. However, the Metal Edition Seniors took it like a champ with no damage to the casing or blades. Wheeeew! It’s proven to be sturdy.The only complaints I have which can be remedied and doesn’t root from the clippers itself. Right out the box, if you don’t oil the blades, they get REALLY hot. After adding oil, it fixed the problem. Lastly, one of the premium clipper guards (I believe it was the 1/16th clipper guard) the metal bottom which may be flush up against the plastic creates an uncomfortably loud noise - similarly to the issue I’ve brought up with other clippers I’ve reviewed. It hurts my ear drums.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. I purchased these with the Cyber Week deal however. They were the same price as standard Wahl Senior MSRP, and if it wasn’t for the deal, I probably wouldn’t have made this purchase for $200+.

Finally replaced my corded clipper. I wanted a cordless model that had a charging stand so that I didn't have a clipper laying around on the vanity with a charging cord hanging out. I only used it a couple times so far, but it worked very well. Cuts smooth, good power, feels solid - seems well made. About the only drawback is the price. Not cheap, but at least I don't feel like I paid a premium and received junk. I feel like I will be using this clipper for many years. I like it and recommend it.

Seems to be a refurbished machine they sold me. I tried to use machine, the moment I turned it on, it mad e a loud dying sound and just did not work. This is a very expensive item and I am disappointed with the poor quality. I have resent the item and still waiting for my refund up to now. Very bad, stay away from the fancy looks, all that glitters is not gold. Bey bad quality. This is my first hand experience, for those of you who find the matching great, I guess you were shipped a brand new item. Or you are lucky. For the record, I purchased a brand new machine, and not refurbished. I am very very disappointed

As is expected from the upper level of product they r awesome. They cut extremely well and r very comfortable in the hand. It's VERY nice not having a cord in the way and too have a product u can run for multiple haircuts w/o having to charge. Had too adjust blade to get a bit closer than they came but when I did they cut very close and allows for clean transfers w/ no lines and a very clean look

If you’re on the fence about these, buy them!! I received mine with no issues. Box was a little dinged but clippers were pristine. I had Andis cordless masters prior to these and the Seniors are WAY more comfortable on the hands. Slightly less heavy and cut just as effortlessly. The noise is also not as loud as the Andis Masters. The only negative for me is that I miss how with the Andis Masters, you can hear each hair being cut. With these it’s like butter, it’s so smooth and I personally like hearing and knowing it’s cutting. Not a big deal. These clippers feel, perform, and look amazing.
