Extremely useful to run in Prophecy builds (but NOT ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY), Priestess is ultimately a Dark Magician with a killer effect.With an attack power of 2500 and a defense of 2100 (just like Dark Magician), High Priestess has the ability to TARGET and destroy ANY CARD ON THE FIELD (provided that you banish a Spellbook from EITHER the hand OR grave beforehand). While cards/monsters that cannot be targeted by the Effects of other cards are exempt from the popping power of Priestess, Priestess is able to fall back on an extremely high ORIGINAL attack and defense. Another great characteristic of High Priestess is the fact that she has the ability to Special Summon herself provided that three Spellbook SPELL cards are revealed beforehand. Paired with Spellbook Star Hall ( Yu-Gi-Oh! - Spellbook Star Hall (ABYR-EN088) - Abyss Rising - 1st Edition - Rare ), Priestess is still able to compete with decks of all formats.
