Perfect for a Halloween costume! Fits fairly well and looked great with my Snow White outfit.

We would recommend these cloaks. We bought several of these to add to our costumes. They have a nice medium weight to them. They are not flimsy or to thick and heavy feeling. We wore them for an event and they still look brand new. They are not overwhelmingly hot for summer. The hood is a generous size so it went easily over each of our hairstyles even with flowers.They are shiny. We bought a green, red, white and blue one. The green one is a little less shiny. You can tell that they are not real velvet, but they still look very nice. The red is more of a bright red not deep or burgundy. Myself and my children are under 5’5 so it gently glided along the ground.

Worked really well for a Red Riding Hood photoshoot. Also planning to use it for Halloween as a Handmaid's Tale costume. I wore this for a photo shoot on a 85°F day. While it was hot, it was manageable for short periods of time. I am 5ft and it was definitely trailing on the ground by 4+ inches, but i dealt with it. The quality is great, for the price. I would definitely order more colors from this brand. However, I have two complaints. 1) the string is super flimsy, as others have noted. I definitely see myself needing to repair it at some point in the future. 2) It SMELLS AWFUL. Straight out of the box it had the nastiest smell. I aired it out for a few days prior to the shoot, but the smell stuck around. I don't think it is machine washable, so ill either need to hand wash or just deal with the smell. But all in all? For the price, not bad.

It is overall great value for the money. I ordered this last minute for a halloween costume and it came on time which was excellent but I am in the short population this is made for tall people. It did drag on the floor so I had to hold it it was not convinient while walking around dwntown seattle 😥. I could have hemmed it but I just didnt have the time. I loved how it looked and it was in great shape when I got it and there was no weird smell like people report. The fabric was good, it did help for a bit (little bit) of warmth it is a thin material so consider that. i wore a small cardigan underneath and it all worked out..Ps the hood needs to be attached by bobby pins cuz it kept going down when I walked
