CAP Barbell Dumbbell Set with Rack | Multiple Options in 150lbs and 210lbs

Great and organized set up! I had random mismatched weights hanging out in my living room and I wanted it to look neater and all match. The rack is sturdy and has a smaller footprint than some that I have seen. It was easy to put together. I like these with the rubber ends so they won’t scratch up my floors. Like other reviewers said, they had a slight odor so we just left them outside for a bit. It really wasn’t that bad. Then took them in and washed with dawn spray powerwash. A lot came off of them, but they are great now! Totally worth it for the price. I haven’t used them much yet, but they seem great!

As others have mentioned, these are shipped in three boxes of weights at 50# each, and one narrow box that holds the stand. In my case, while extremely heavy duty boxes were used, and well taped, one of the boxes was sliced open and minor damage to rubber ends of DBs in that box occurred. Looks like it was slid over something which cut it through.In any event, 2x5, 2x10, 2x15, 2x20, 2x25# DBs are included, making this an excellent "base" set. Handles are knurled and as expected in diameter and abrasiveness. No gloves required, but your mileage may vary.Is there a smell? seems to be the burning question. Of course they have a smell. They were just born of chemicals. They smell like what they are: rubber. So if you have ever had a new bike tire in your house, that is the smell, multiplied by a few pairs. It doesn't bother me in the slightest, and I was able to start using right away. I cannot relate at all to folks who seemed like they were going to swoon after opening the boxes.NOTE: I "washed" these with dish soap and water before using because they are covered in manufacturing residual dust etc. and will make your hands filthy otherwise. Mine did *not* have any kind of oily residues, as others have mentioned; again, just new tire smell, which for me is not obnoxious. But hey- some people think cilantro tastes terrible, so there is no accounting for taste.NOTE #2: Unlike the way Amazon's own brand and some other DBs I have purchased are wrapped, these were just loose in the box. No Styrofoam, no placement in a baggie, nada. Just in the box. So they are not going to be 100% brand new and flawless looking when you take them out. Get over it. They're dumbbells. They'll look like that in a couple months of workouts anyway. Also, because there is no protection, be judicious in opening the boxes. Just slice around the tape so you are not gouging a chunk out of your new best friends.I got these for basically a buck a pound, which is what weights were before Covid, and what they should be anyway, and held off on buying them until I hit the sale amount. Having said that, they would still be worth it for the $200 amount too, of course, just slightly less of a bargain.As has been mentioned by other reviewers, the A-frame is easy to put together, but will take your fingers off if you are not watching what you are doing when replacing the weights onto the rack, something which was also true at many gyms I have used and is a bug and not a feature of this style of rack.Definitely recommend, and would purchase again. Plan on augmenting with additional weights and eventually using a horizontal rack for all of them, but this was a steal-- and delivered on top of it.I am keeping the boxes. These are some of the heaviest duty boxes I have had sent to me. You should keep them until your return date is over anyway, in the event something untoward happens and they need to go back.

This is a great weight set! It was delivered in stages but there was not much delay. The grip is perfect, much like gym quality. Plenty of weight sizes for everyone to use and the rubberized weights make them look great! Not that a great looking weight makes a difference in its purpose but it certainly helps you see the quality that you paid for. These are an exceptional value! The rack to hold them is sturdy and there is no question about its support! Great buy, great value, great quality!

These dumbbells have been a great addition to our home gym. They arrived well-packaged and were easy to set up. I had read some reviews mentioning a strange smell, so we opened the package outside just in case—but I didn’t notice any odor at all. There was a little bit of grease on one or two of the dumbbells, but it wiped off easily with a rag. We've been using them regularly for the past couple of months and absolutely love them!The overall size is really convenient—they don’t take up much space at all, and the height is just right for quick access without bending too low. Great quality and a smart space-saving option!

But a couple things to be aware of....1. They have a very strong chemical smell. The whole room smells like strong rubber smell, hopefully this fades in time.2. There is some sort of black residue rubbing off from the dumbbells. I learned this the hard way and ruined my shirt. Make sure you wipe them off with soap water and a cloth before use, or it will get all over your hands and clothes.3. The rubber is shedding off little bits, I assume this is just because they are brand new?4. My only other complaint is the rack seems to be too tight for the dumbbells, and when taking them on and off the rack they hit each other. The rubber protectors on each rack also come off really easily - I will likely try to glue these on so they aren't constantly falling off when I go to pick up a dumbbell.Overall, the weights seem good quality and feel comfortable to grip. I love the color, style and they look really nice in my home gym. For the price I think this is a great set and am happy with my purchase.

To start, this item is shipped in 4 boxes three of which is heavy weighing more than 50 lbs each, except for the box that contains the rack. If you live in a 4th floor walk up like I do, bring a box cutter and just tote the dumbbells two at a time. Trust me that process alone gave me a work out. Phew chile...lol. Secondly, everyone is right, the smell is horrendous (think of burnt tar and gasoline). I got rid of the smell by wiping down each dumbbell and spraying them with fabreeze...twice. No stench after 24hrs. These weights are solid and built nicely. Word of advice, decide your placement of the rack BEFORE you put the weights on it because it will be very difficult to move it. 150 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. I love this investment.
