We’ve had these owls for almost a year. We put these out by our duck house. So far they have kept all flying predators away. The head spins when the wind blows. Pretty easy to screw into any surface, although you could just fill the body with sand. It’s held up and seems to still hold its color.

I build a new carport and same day a bird started making a nest over my car.. droppings everywhere!! Ordered this and placed one on each end the lil bird never came back I knocked the nest down and she had 1 egg on it but left it!!😂🤷🏼‍♀️it’s not motion detected but head bobbles with wind or movement !! Eyes make it look real!!

The fake owls do a decent job of keeping squirrels away from where we don't want them. We've had squirrels use our deck rail in the past to get a boost up onto our roof and after placing these owls by edge of deck, they no longer come around. Only complaint is the heads pop of pretty easily, but go back on just as easy.

Smaller than I thought so I guess they aren’t realistic enough for those darn starlings. As you can see in my picture there he is just hanging out with the decoy. It doesn’t detour them at all and though the head bobbles it does not turn or move at all if even a breeze.

Okay. It doesn’t scare the birds away and it broke easily. But, I still have them up lol

I installed them on top of my gutter guards to keep away the pesky birds that keep building nests under them. The birds immediately stopped trying to build there. Silence is bliss!

We bought these after searching ways to keep ducks out of our pool and back yard. They are frightening enough to me, but apparently the ducks that are visiting my back yard are more accepting of others. Or possibly today’s ducks are more sophisticated and can spot a fake better than we think.As you can see by the picture, they seem to be getting along just fine.Regarding the features:The swiveling head doesn’t really do anything. We are having a fairly windy day here in So Cal and I haven’t observed the head moving at all.You do need to add weight by removing the plug at the bottom but be careful. It doesn’t fit very tight and mine fell out when I turned it over, so I lost some of my rocks in the pool.I would return these but at this point it would be more work than it’s worth. They might be fun at Halloween.Maybe I will try the floating alligator head. I have got to get rid of these ducks.

They work great keeping the birds out of my garage.
