Step 4 Open the zippered pocket and put your keys, phone or packets of glycogen-replenishing sports gels inside. Then zip the pocket back shut. Step 5 Secure the belt around your waist, nice and snug, and fasten the Velcro or clasp closure. A tight fit will prevent excessive bounce or jiggle in the belt while you run. Step 6 Start your warm up -- which should consist of five to 10 minutes of light exercise -- and pay attention to the fit and snugness of the belt. If it's too tight or too loose, adjust it now before you get into the bulk of your run.
