I replaced my original canned lighting with this one. These are a bit deeper and more realistic, like traditional canned lighting with a screw in bulb. They provide ample light. What impressed me was how the lights dimmed to almost complete darkness. My other lights went down to 15 percent.

I use this with Lutron Casita dimmers and dims perfectly

The chip on these is just ok; CRI is in the neighborhood of 92 and colors look a bit washed out under these lights. 2700k preset leans unnaturally yellow, while all other presets lean heavily blue and sterile. However, where these absolutely shine is in the driver itself. Produces clean and ripple free light wave at all dimming levels and with virtually no stroboscopic flicker, which is something that is very hard to find. This means reduced likelihood of headache, confusion and disorientation for people with light sensitivities (myself included), which makes these a great option for replacing halogen downlights

I don't usually write reviews unless the product is really bad, or in this case really good. Trust me, I've used a number of these in the past in other houses i had and this time for my new house i wanted what i would consider to be the best. I did a lot of searching at Home Depot, Lowes, local lighting stores and online, then found this 8 pack on Amazon. Decided to try it but at about $8.50 each i was skeptical. When the box arrived i opened it and said wow, this looks just like what i want. I nice depth to the light (some are very shallow which makes it look cheap), and it is so darn easy to install these I could almost do it in my sleep. Seriously, I climb the latter, remove the old bulb, the the housing and put this new one in. Actually timed myself and each light took less than 3 minutes. Before I even got the first 8 in, I ordered another two boxes (16 total) and have now installed just about all of them. Keeping a few back for spares. I also love the fact that there is a switch on the back allowing you to change color temp from 2700 to 5000k. The only thing i don't know is how long these will actually last.
