Ibanez PF12MHCE-OPN - Acoustic Guitar

As a newbie I didn't know what to expect when ordering my first guitar online. I was extremely excited, but honestly quite nervous as well, because although a majority of reviews were positive, the small amount of negative ones seem to highlight the issues others have had; even though unfortunately it is to be expected to have a few problems when you are dealing with so many hands in the pile as your guitar takes it's journey from the warehouse to your home. In my case.... The guitar made it to my house a day earlier than the stated arrival. Couldn't be more pleased to get somthing so anticipated earlier than expected! The outer box was in good shape and the "warning tape" placed on the open ends was intact ensuring that the box had not been opened. The inner box holding the guitar was in excellent shape and cushioned with bubble cushions. The actual guitar was wrapped in sealed plastic with paper protecting the strings. The guitar itself is beautiful. I inspected it immediately and had no visible body/neck damage. the frets were set within the neck as normal and there were no issues with protrusion on mine like a couple others have stated in their reviews. The strings were very loosely installed and I am sure this is due to ensuring that the strings do not warp the neck during storage and shipping.... Needless to say, they tuned up perfectly when setting up the guitar for first playing. I had a little trouble using the "tuning" feature on the guitar itself (very sensitive), but it is very convenient feature to have once I can figure out how to use it properly. In the mean time, I used a tuning app on my phone and it worked great. When I double checked the tune with the one on the guitar it was spot on. The only "issue" I had was that the electric wires inside the guitar body are "cleaned up" using a small square plastic zip tie mount that is secured to the inside of the body with double sided tape. It must have come loose during shipping because it was just hanging and visible through the sound hole. I had to carefully insert my hand into the guitar body (didn't want to remove all the strings if able) to re-secure it to the interior wall of the guitar. Needless to say, not a big deal at all. Extremely happy with the purchase. Great guitar for my experience level and the price and quality are great! One more thing.... I thought I read on here that someone said there was no guitar strap buttons on this guitar to attach a shoulder strap. Although there is no strap included (I would rather pick my own based on my likes) there is a single strap button on the bottom of the body so you can attach a strap that uses a string or leather thong to attach to the neck side. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas on the back of advice from my brother and I was not disappointed, great packaging for delivery which is obviously a massive factor for ordering something like this online for delivery. It is well made, looks, feels and sounds great quality and my daughter absolutely loves it. Shame it doesn't come with a carry case (my only criticism) but I knew that before I bought it and from other reviews I understand you need to get a larger than normal case so measure it first if you go down this route.
