Well made, works perfectly with my IPad.
Instantly paired with my IPad and works perfectly with Forscore. I have completely stopped using any paper music for gigs and strictly use my IPad now. This pedal works flawlessly to turn the pages on my IPad screen.

Prefer this to the AirTurn Duo $500 for three reasons
I use this to trigger videos during my performances. My hands are busy playing guitar so this allows me to advance slides with embedded videos/pictures in a PowerPoint presentation. I'd used the Duo for several years and decided to give this a try when I needed an extra pedal for another device. Here's what I like 1) The biggy is that this will pair with multiple devices. Not at ONCE mind you, but I can use it with one laptop and, if I need to switch for some reason, I can power everything down, turn on the backup laptop, and then turn this back on and it's going (assuming it's been paired to the device already). Getting the Duo to pair with another device involves resetting it and then repairing via the whole "add a device" bluetooth process. It's time-consuming and I always have to look up how to do this. 2) I prefer the buttons on this one. The Duo is very easy to accidentally trigger, which can be a show-stopper, literally. This one is harder, but not impossible, to do that with. There's also more travel in the button so you have a better sense of whether or not you've actually triggered it. The Duo is totally silent, but I've never loved the feel of it. These buttons on this one are quieter than I expected but not totally silent. 3) The price is lower! It's not often you get more for less but I think you do here. Only negatives: 1) It's red, which attracts attention on a black stage. (Duo is a nice black) 2) As mentioned, it makes a bit of noise. It's not a pronounced **click** like you might expect from a guitar effects pedal; it's just a metal contacting metal sound that you can reduce by stepping more softly. It doesn't bother me enough to outweigh the other benefits of this pedal.

Works great with iPad but...
Works perfectly with my iPad (right out of the box) and the app I use for (music) song charts. I mounted this on my pedalboard and power it via my pedalboard power supply. I am gigging with it regularly; never had a problem with it connecting and turning the pages as needed (when powered on). My only complaint is that it will power down if it’s not used for a certain period of time. While I have pretty much everything I need to play memorized, I use my iPad as a safety valve just in case I have a memory-fail moment. I think it’s not too much to ask that if it is on external power, once it is powered on, it NEVER powers down due to inactivity (until manually powered off); I have docked one star for that. That behavior is fine when running on battery power (I get it), but when on external power, it’s doesn’t make sense to me - that’s the sole reason I power it from my power supply. I cannot comment on battery life as I never use it (nor care about using it) on battery power.

Works for what I needed and pretty easy to set up
I am using this to scroll down lyrics in the SetList Helper app. It took a few minutes to get it set up by downloading the AirTurn app then turning it on in the SetList Helper app but them it works great. It doesn't stop and start scrolling like I thought it would but it jumps down 1/4 page at a time which gets me exactly what I needed. I just haven't figured out how to turn it off. The power button turns it on just fine but it won't turn off - but it does turn itself off after two hours idle - so that works for me as well. It's small so I put it on a pedal board but it seems very sturdy.

Great Pedal!
I really like this pedal! It’s easier for me to “feel” what I’m doing with my foot.

BT500s-2 doesn't charge after 3 months of weekly use.
Great at first, but the unit stopped charging after 3 months. Doesn't come with a charger. Can't return now. I don't recommend. Update: The seller contacted me to try and remedy this issue. If all goes as expected, I will be happy to update to 5 stars.

Struggle to initiate
I bought this unit as a page turner for onSong on iPad. I had always used the autoscroll feature on Ultimate Guitar for performances but it can be tricky to get it perfectly synced to the situation at hand. Therefore, I bought onSong and look forward to a simple page turner for important performances. How hard can turning a page be, right? I charged the AirTurn and linked it to my iPad. It worked right away. However, it worked too well. It charged ahead more than 1 page at a time chopping very song into page 1 and last page only. Naively, I changed the mode thinking that might do the trick. (I didn't know how to change the mode at this point; I just hit the mode button as something to try). This disconnected the AirTurn from my iPad. That sent me to the AirTurn product support website which efficiently presented a hotlink to the product manual. Good so far. This was an invalid link. It seemed that all the similar units had invalid links too. No dice on a product manual from the AirTurn website. I put the unit back in the box prepping for a return. One last thing to try...OnSong hawks AirTurn units on their software too but not the BT500S-2. The OnSong software has AirTurn product manuals embedded within their software for a number of AirTurn units. While the BT500S-2 wasn't specifically an option among about 10 page turners or so, a more generic AirTurn S-2 was. So after an hour or so of diving deep into the OnSong software to find all this information, I found the S-2 manual and the instructions to get me reconnected and minimally functional with the page turner. I'm still not 100% confident of cause and effect because there are thousands of permutations of settings within OnSong that can impact a page turner's outcome but I found a combination that turns the page about 30% at a time. Good enough as a start. I'm hopeful that I'll get better at both AirTurn and OnSong although I have always been more attracted to spending time learning my instrument than software, effect boxes, and other gadgets. If you enjoy diving deep into software and gadgets, this is for you. The jury is still out on whether I'll be renewing OnSong and using a page turner in a year when my OnSong subscription expires.

Works well with my HyVibe guitar. Highly recommend. Recently, my battery went dead because of prolonged storage. Support was kind enough to send me a free battery replacement. Kudos!
