UPDATE 2025: it's been 2+ years and still going strong (knock on wood), no issues with flickering or delays between turning on the light and the light coming on, like I used to experience with the bulb that was previously in this same fixture. Still 5 stars from me!I bought this to replace the ancient one in my kitchen when it finally kicked the bucket. I was worried this shape bulb could be hard to find or expensive, but as always Amazon saved the day at a reasonable price.It arrived in perfect condition and was well packaged for protection. I found it very easy to install and I like the color/ brightness a lot more than my old light. Usually I prefer warmer lights, but I went with daylight in this case since it was in the kitchen and I wanted it to be brighter. I absolutely hate cool toned lights because it just makes everything look too blue for my taste, but the daylight version is perfect.My old bulb would sometimes take a few seconds to come on or flicker a bit at first, but this one does not do that at all.I can't speak to longevity since I haven't had it that long, but I will update when it stops working...so basically, if I haven't updated my review, then you will know that it's still going strong!

Just what we needed for our laundry room. The existing circline fluorescent lights were a warmer temperature giving our blue repainted laundry room a greenish hue. The “daylight” color temperature makes our blue walls look great. Be aware of your wall color when ordering a color temperature for fluorescent lights. They came well packaged. Easy to install.

It fits and it has a nice color ( temperature ) of light.

I could have sworn that I had ordered one 8" and one 12" which is what I needed, but I received two 12". Neither one worked. They were both packaged well and the box was not damaged. I tried both and neither worked. One of them was cracked where you plug it in and they both made a noise when shook. Had to remain a couple of more days washing dishes in the dark until I could get to a store. My boyfriend thought it was on my end, but the lights I bought at the store, from a different company, work perfectly. Now I have to go through the trouble of shipping them back.

Not nearly as bright as daylight. No brighter then local purchase at half the price.
