It's back and it's worth every penny for hotspot users!
Works perfectly right out of the box to connect my hotspot and both improve the wifi and LTE signal and allow for ethernet connections. Very easy to setup and configure, although the web interface and the router service offerings are meager compared to DD-WRT and even Linksys' for their WRT line. Speeds are great in the unit, but I have had random periods of slowness where even accessing assets inside the LAN are slow or halted. It might not have quite the horsepower of the WRT1900ACS that it replaced so I may move some devices to another router.

DC112A paired w/ Att Aircard 815S & Antenna
First thing to know, I hardly ever write reviews. I'm writing to review the product and help anyone who's happen an issue like I've had. I purchased an ATT Aircard 815s (mobile hotspot) from a local ATT store. I did this because I was going to be moving out to an area where fiber or any sort of internet besides satellite was not foreseen. I hoped a 4g hotspot with unlimited data on an uncrowded tower might be a fix. I then purchased the Netgear DC112A to hopefully be able to connect my computer with an ethernet cord. As we worked on fixing up our house before we moved in, I setup the hotspot and the router to see what kind of service and speeds I would be getting. I didn't get what I had been hoping. I was generally getting 1-4mbs down and 10-13 up. I decided to order an omnidirectional antenna from maxmostcom through Amazon. Hooked up the antenna to the router with the ts9 connectors and 30' lowloss cables and strung out in the front yard on a 10' pvc pole. That was better, started getting 2-3 bars of 4g lte service however it was spotty. To try and solidify the connection I did a permanent mount through the roof. That actually made the connection much stronger. Now I'm getting 3-4 bars of service, 15-18 mbs down and 20 up. Not too shabby in my opinion. Everything is going smooth for the better part of 2 days then bam! Nothing. No more 15mbs connection, antenna looks lost on the cradle, I tried to reboot it through the netgear genie app and same problem. I wish I had found others that were similar setup and had the same issue but after hours of researching I finally just tried attempting a few different options. After all that time and effort I finally just pushed in the little reset button on the router itself with a pen. The router rebooted, 4 bars of service came back, 18mbs strong, works like a charm again. I've done that for 2 nights now, not sure what causes it but that little reboot is simple enough and it only takes maybe 30 seconds. The router itself is nice and appealing to me, easy to pack around if needed. The fans get a bit loud when it's cooling down but no biggy really. It does what it's supposed to do even if resetting it once a day is minutely to inconvenient. Good product!

Great product!
Great product!!! We bought a hotspot to use at home because satellite internet is too expensive and the daily allowances are ridiculous. The only problem was that we could not leave it in a central location and use it everywhere in the house. We had the apple airports, but as our hot spot had no Ethernet port, we could not use them. Bought this and it works great!!! Easy to hook up and covers the whole house! We use it with a jetpack (AC 791L) from Verizon.

Disappointing
This router sounded like it would do everything I needed. It worked great when first started. It easily connected to my hot-spot (also netgear) and I got great wifi reception on several different kinds of devices at distance and through 2-3 brick walls. The next time we went to use it however, it would not recognize the hotspot device - it said there was nothing in the cradle. I went through all the trouble shooting steps, restarts, on-line advice etc. and it would never recognize the hotspot device as being attached. (The hotspot still worked fine on it's own). Instructions and trouble shooting info all came back to the answer that this was a "hardware" issue. I ended up returning the device. I did not get another as I saw on-line that there are many many used ones for sale from different venues. This one was supposed to be new, but I wondered if it was in fact used. I gave it three stars because it did work well at first.

Perfect boost for remote spots!!
This was just what I needed in our remote cabin to boost my mobile hotspot pack from Verizon! It cradles it perfectly and was super easy to setup. I added the 600050 MIMO antenna and have no issues monitoring my Arlo system from 100 miles away. I think this works better than my netgear setup at home that I paid twice as much for!
