This is a pretty nifty sound machine! I like the sounds, there's a good variety and the sounds are easily understood. It's a bit confusing in the beginning. The battery compartment is VERY difficult to open, it took me 20 minutes and many tries to finally open it.The instructions are lacking for sure. A number of the buttons and such are mislabeled in the instructions. Still not sure what the hold switch is all about. But if you just keep pushing buttons you can figure it out in a short time!The volume could go down another button push or two. When at full blast, it's LOUD! That would be awesome for someone sleeping during the day in a loud environment.I got the white one and it's pleasant to the eye and it's a great size and fits pretty much anywhere you want to put it. You can even hang it as the top of it swings open and can be used to hang it on something and then clicks shut.With it's small size, it would be very portable and you could take it with you on vacation or a business trip, or even to work to block out sounds in your work environment.All in all, this is a very nice product and a great value and I'd highly recommend it.

I am so happy with this noise machine. My baby is a light sleeper and so we are always tip toeing around on our squeaky floors. Well it's only been two nights but I've seen huge difference in her while falling asleep. She falls into a deeper sleep much faster. I love how it has a timer with 3 options, 15 mins, 30 mins, 45 mins. It has many options for sounds and I can see us trying each one out in the future but for now, the brown noise is the choice for us. I hook this onto the side of her bassinet and I will be taking this into the car as needed for sure. The lowest setting on the volume is in my opinion a little too loud but then we get used to it and when it shuts off, I realize it's not so loud and I want to hear it more. It easily muffles too by slipping a sock over it or a mitten. Now my older daughter wants one for her room. I recommend this.Update- we’ve had this for about two years. We used it every night set at 45 mins. I would change the batteries about once every month or month and half but again that’s because we played it every night. I like the music it plays. My toddler likes it too. It did just die completely after all this time so the life of it doesn’t last past two years using daily. I’m purchasing another one and for the price it is definitely worth it.

This is a great little sound machine. We have used it twice now. The first time we used it camping in battery mode. The batteries lasted all night without problem.The second time we used it camping but we had electricity and plugged it in. It worked great with both power sources. I like that it has multiple sound options. We chose the pink noise option. Before purchasing I saw that many people stated it wouldn't turn on. We had no problem with it, but you do have to hold down the power button for a couple seconds to turn it on and off. If you just hit the button quickly, it will not power on. I actually think it is a good feature because it prevents it from being accidentally turned on when in a bag, etc. I look forward to using this on all our camping trips and vacations.

Every good feature (sound options, child proof control, portability) are useless because the buttons do not work. They are plastic recessed and became unworkable the second time it was used. Nice concept. Poor quality. I will return.

My 4 month old can not sleep without white noise. We were constantly using our phones overnight to provide this for him. This machine cost less than 10 dollars, has multiple sounds, very loud and stays on all night. It’s not the sturdiest machine, looks like a fall could easily damage it, but for 8 dollars I wouldn’t mind buying another one if need be

Bought as a gift for my nephew who is a toddler. He has sensory issues and according to my brother this was a perfect gift. Paired with child sized headphones, it is the perfect portable device to keep him happy when traveling. Sound quality was good enough to play aloud for both boys at night.

We use this product in my 15mo son's room. I like the different settings, especially that you can choose between white, pink and brown noise in addition to nature sounds, music, etc. You also have the option of letting it run nonstop or setting a timer. My first complaint is that you have to put in non-rechargeable batteries to use without power cord vs being able to charge while plugged in like a monitor. Also, the cord was pretty faulty. Granted my kids were toying with it a bit, but not enough that it should have broken. While still plugged in, if you didn't set it down just right, it would cut out and you may or may not be able to turn it back on. Once my husband replaced the micro USB cord for around $5 we haven't had any problems at all (and my kids still mess with it pretty regularly). Still recommend but would advise you may need a cord replacement.

This would be a nice product ... if it kept working. I was very satisfied with the SONEic at first, but I should have returned it when I first noticed that it would turn off by itself when it got moved. I thought perhaps it was a bad power chord, but alas, the unit itself is defective. By the time it became clear that it was the unit itself that was defective (I tested it with other power chords and using batteries), it was too late to return the item. A little over two months after I purchased the SONEic, it stopped turning on. Perhaps mine was just the one bad unit in a large batch, but I would expect this product to last for more than two months.
