California Gold Nutrition Bromelain, 625 mg, 90 Veggie Capsules

Both California Gold Nutrition bromelain and Doctor's Best bromelain only have micro-crystalline cellulose as other ingredient. I plan to try Doctor's Best bromelain. I am not satisfied with the quality of California Gold Nutrition for the reasons below:1. On opening a new bottle, it is not a good smell. It's not that foul but not good either. The supplement smell leads to questions about the pineapple source and manufacturing process. Were any solvents used to extract or concentrate the bromelain?2. The capsule content should be the consistency of sand or finer powder. Try and open several capsules. My capsules all have large dense pieces which are not soluble in water (tested mixing and let sit in water). Please refer to pictures of capsule content. The pieces may be micro-crystalline cellulose since there should be no other ingredients.It is a good idea to try several different bromelain products to compare capsule content and observe the effects of taking the supplement. I would not buy bromelain from California Gold Nutrition again unless I saw independent lab tests that verified purity and potency.
