Works fine, clamps wires tightly. Low resistance. Need a LOT of heat to make them shrink.
I was trying to use a BBQ stick lighter to shrink the plastic after clamping and they just weren't shrinking. At first, I thought maybe they were mismarked. I later realized that it just takes a LOT of heat to shrink them (like with a heat gun on HIGH). Be careful you don't burn through the wiring insulation near each end of the connector while waiting for the plastic to shrink.

These heat shrink butt connectors are tremendous. Let me tell you, I've seen a lot of connectors in my time, and these are simply the best. They shrink perfectly, and the connection is absolutely strong, folks. No complaints here, just a perfect 5-star product. Believe me, you won't find a better connector anywhere!

Perfect for Heavy Duty cord repair.
This is a butt connector and shrink wrap all-in-one. Easily splice 10 or 12 gauge wire.: Strip insulation off tip of wire. Insert wire into butt connector. Crimp connector to secure wire. Apply heat and watch it form a strong water tight seal between wires.I use these connectors to repair damaged extension cords. I buy short (3ft) 12 gauge cords and cut them in half to get new parts to replace damaged plugs and receptacles on expensive long cords. For extra strength, I wrap the repair with black electricians tape.

Great connectors
This is a commodity product these days, so I'm just looking for something that works well at a good price. These clearly fit that description. I've used them on a few different projects thus far, and they seem to perform well consistently.
