I’m not one to write reviews, but this candle is worth a couple minutes to write about how well it works. Living in Florida, we’ve got bugs and lots of them. Some you can’t even see. (No see-ums as they are referred to) I like to sit on my patio every morning to drink my coffee and relax there at the end of each day. Within a matter of minutes I’d have 15 plus bug bites all over my arms, legs and feet. I purchased this candle and several other products hoping to find something that works. This was it. This candle miraculously fends them off. Some of the other products I purchased had strong smells that weren’t so pleasant. This candle has a very slight scent that’s hard to even pick up on. My only complaint is I wish they’d make them in a bigger size. They last up to 30 hours but I’d like to have something that lasted longer. Is what it is though. I’ve ordered 2 more candles since my first purchase. Amazing product!

Good for mosquitoes

definitely citronella! However the candle is so big in diameter only the center burns leaving most of the wax. They could make it cheaper by only making it about an inch or so in diameter. the rest of the candle is wasted with no wick to burn!

I live on an island where tiny biting gnats called no-seeums are worse than mosquitoes. This product, like most others, work on mosquitoes but not very well against no-seeums. The scent isn’t bad though, and I like that it comes in a tin so you can just put the cover on to extinguish the flame.

Worked well. Long lasting, no real scent, kept bugs away (bees especially) at the camping table. It's not a large effective radius, but enough to cover a table. Doubles down as a fire starter (just burn some stick on top of it until it gets going). Lasted for several nights, so good value for the money.
