First Coin My Father Bought Me On My 90th Day Clean!
I love these coins they are so beautiful! I just wish they did a 100 day coin and the rest of the months from 1-23 excluding 12 months as they have a 1 year coin! But, I wish they did the 100 day coin because that was a really big day for me! Actually, it was way more rememberable than my 1st, 2nd, & 3rd month coins were! A lot of people in early recovery believe so as well that I have talked to! I mean a 100 days is just a good goal and it’s you know the first day into the triple digits of sobriety! Keep making these and adding more months that you possibly can!Thank you for a beautiful day I will always remember when my father got me this coin as it was his 1st coin to get me! I was in treatment for 90 days it was supposed to be a 30 day stay for that 30 day program at Greenhouse in Grand Prairie, TX. I ended up doing the full 90 day course and my Father picked me up on my 90th day to leave to come back home. There was a big surprise party which I always wanted a surprise party growing but never got one as my B-Day is on Christmas so it just never happened. Until after rehab! My Father whom I have seen cry when my little Sister died at the age of 10 when I was 12. But, that was it and it was just some tears down his face as he didn’t show emotion like that to us growing up as that’s what Men Do he would say which he hates that in our society now!He stopped everybody from talking as he gave me a heartfelt speech so amazingly beautiful I will never forget a moment of it. I had been found legally dead from committing suicide by swallowing one of my Mother’s 100mcg Fentanyl Patches she wears on her back for her back actually. I heard one of those patches could kill like 88 men.So, I chewed poked a whole with a needle in the patch then made that hole about the size of a button on a shirt. I took some Fentanyl gel from the patch and rubbed all over my gums then put a piece of 3 strips of scotch tape stacked onto one another then put that over the hole I made. Then, wrapped once around the “patched” hole area with one wrap of painters tape to hold it. I knew my stomach acids would tear it all up at some point. But, the tape would go much quicker then that hole would release all the medicine into my system faster.Plus, I just filled a thirty 2mg Xanax prescription and a one hundred and twenty 1mg Clonazepam prescription. I swallowed both bottles after ingesting the patch then went into Mom and Father’s room and hugged my mother who was watching a movie on her iPad with a brand new pair of Bose Noise Cancellation Headphones I bought her for this very purpose. I had no tears I was happy it was finally all going to be over. I hugged her said I loved her and she has and will always be the best Momma in the world! She kinda shooed me out as she was in the middle of her movie. The torture I put my family through with my addiction to alcohol and opioid pain pills the fact I was 23 and already beyond exhausted was a testament to how tired I was. My Father and my little brothers were at the Lakehouse about to come home in around 2-3 hours. I called my Father but my Father didn’t answer. I could t leave him a message saying what I said to my mother as he would pick up on something was wrong! I just left a voicemail saying sorry I missed ya Pa. I will talk to you later and tell the boys I said I love them so much and I love you so much as well Pa! Your the best Father I could ever ask for! I bought 8 metal holders that bolted into the studs on each side of the door. I lined 2 up across the door left to right. I did this where I could slide a solid metal pole into the left holder all the way across the door into the right side holder.I put 4 of those across the door then screwed the metal mounts on each end of the metal poles to make sure they didn’t slide out! As I also installed a new doorknob but this one with a key lock! Just a much better lock with a deadbolt on it as well. Waited till everyone was gone earlier that week and installed it. If someone asked I would just say needed some privacy while I’m here. I also added a thick piece of sheet metal in between the metal bars I put and the door. The window was way more tricky. But, I made a perfect cut out of the window framing with a wood frame I built and left in my giant closet. Secured then did the exact same thing to it that I did to the door. I laid down and woke up in ICU where I was awoken from a 10 day medically induced coma!I lived through many more not suicidal attempts but just times I should have 100% died! I look at this coin all the time to remind me of how far I have come and how far I can go!! Thank you!in the patch that part of the patch with a tape up a few times with that clear gel spewing into my mouth and

BEST Gift for a Friend of Bill W.
My dad's sponsor died a couple of years ago and he mentioned to me last month that he doesn't receive a yearly medallion anymore since his passing. So, I found out his sobriety date and had one of these medallions sent to him as a gift. I saw that he received it and I was waiting for a phone call letting me know that he got it. He called me today (a week after receipt) just to let me know that he received the BEST medallion he ever got. He had no clue it was from me. He was trying to figure out who sent it... and I finally caved. He told me this was the best gift he's ever received from me and he was almost in tears. He said it was so nice compared to the generic AA medallions he had received over the years. I'll pat myself on the shoulder now....
