I wish I could say my All-Clad copper core and D3 pans heated up faster and more evenly than this one. I’m sort of a brand snob and so it bothers me that when I cook 2 batches of a sauce, side by side using this pan and one of my nicer ones, this one does a better job, plain and simple. I’d say the thick bottom is the reason for it, but All-Clad (and all the rest of the nice brands) ditched that feature, for some reason.Highly recommend this one!!

I love this skillet. It beats evenly, it's huge enough to make several burgers at once, and it looks amazing after daily use for over a year. The helper handle is a bonus, and the lid is solid! It prevents most steam from escaping.The steel is solid and doesn't scratch easily. You don't have to be as fussy with it as you do with nonstick pans, so metal utensils and a good scrubbing after use keep it looking good.You don't have to worry about coatings flaking off and making your food taste like burnt plastic. It doesn't warp easily (unless you subject it to unreasonably high heats when it's empty--ask me how I know).This is not a nonstick pan. It's important to understand that. Food will stick to this pan. You can minimize sticking by heating the pan, then adding your oil and allowing it to heat up before you add your food.

It's been great. It sits flat on the stove and the handle is sturdy. It can go from the stove top to the oven and back again on account of it being stainless steal, so you can basically use it for anything (as good stainless steel should be.) And it won't rust on account of it being stainless steel. Best of all, there's no dumb non-stick coating that you have to worry about.Cooling with stainless is a learning curve, so don't expect to be a pro the first twenty times. But keep at it.

Bought this as a replacement for my favorite 11" straight walled saute pan. My original had a nonstick finish that began to degrade, and I lamented the disappearance of Revere ware, whose pots & pans have lasted 40 years. Gave this a try. Nice pan, tho packing was poor & it arrived with a dent in side. Has cooked evenly &cleaned easily. Lid handle too high for easy storage. Otherwise, very pleased!

Love this pan. It is perfect for what I needed. The size is just right. I wanted a "fry" pan that I could also cook stews and meat sauces in. This does the job. Heavy duty and easy to clean. I would prefer a glass top, but I happen to have one that fits just fine.

Our 50+ year old stainless steel large skill was not working with our new induction stove. I ended up ordering this one. Wow! It was bigger and heavier than I'd thought. I was a little worried we might not use it. But we do and it is great. We did get some smaller skillets for other needs but this one has come in handy more than I expected.
