Great binoculars everything expected they work compass is dead on and so is the range finder good company

Love the sharp focus, clarity.

I have purchased a dozen Bushnell products this year including 3 previous models of binoculars. This if my first disappointment with Bushnell. I wanted a binocular with a compass. Somehow that translates to "marine", which, apparently somehow translates to boat-anchor heavy. Yes, the spec gave the weight, but instead of analyzing it, I trusted Bushnell. Apparently "marine" also negates center focus? Mainline binocs got past that decades ago. I chose the digital compass version, expecting to get finer precision, but no, same 1 degree increments as on the analog. The LCD readout is difficult to read, being at the bottom of the screen and not in focus with the main view. Worse, to display the LCD, a very non-ergonometric button must be depressed, which turns on the display but for only a short time. By the time one aligns the vertical line on the distant target, than focuses on the LCD, then rechecks the alignment, then rechecks the LCD, it has timed out and shut off. Bushnell's descriptions were mute on backlighting, so I called their customer support. "Travis" assured me the display was backlighted. Wrong again. I guess I will return them. On second thought, I have a grandson who plays football and lifts weights and is more brawn than brain....and Christmas is only a few months away!

Very clear and sharp view from edge to edge. Well protected optics. The digital compass is not illuminated. When compared with a floating compass, I am not as confident of the accuracy of a digital compass. Compared with 7x50 Steiner binoculars, the Bushnell binoculars are physically larger and have a slightly smaller field of view. Sharpness is just as good. I have had several Bushnell binoculars and have been pleased with their optics, construction, value.

Very nice optics but the digital compass is does not readout, quality control does not exist anymore. I would send back but you got me by the short hairs in St Thomas heading south and no alternatives...

Perfetto per uso nautico molto luminoso anche in condizioni di scarsa luce e immagini nitide, la bussola una volta tarata è precisa, verificata con i diversi miei strumenti di bordo. Fattura ben fatta e robusta. Consigliato a dispetto di marche ben più blasonate.

I've used these binoculars for a season of sailing. I'm getting the hang of calculating distance and it's very convenient to be able to see the compass heading while viewing an objective. These binoculars feel very sturdy yet light in the hands.

Die handy in die Nähe can Störungen am compass beeinfluessen.. Sonst ist die optik gut, bearbeitug auch gut. Die sichtbar field ist auch zuschmall.

How ridiculous.....obviously intended for serious maritime use at least at thenon professional level...... so why has the bearing Compass got no backlight ?????Optically as expected at this pricing level.
